Goods of the Woods 10967 Guardian Half Round Rug, Sage Green

This is our second fireplace rug of this type in 10 years, and we expect the same sort of service life out of this one. Simple fiberglass weave on top, backed by a vinyl mat with edge trim. The fiberglass threads will not scorch like wool, and the material will resist wearing out from foot traffic as you walk by. The texture of the weave is not harsh on bare feet, nor are there any frayed threads.A wool-weave fireplace rug weighs more and more easily stays put. With the slightest knock this one will slide on the hardwood floor in front of the hearth, so you have to make sure it's up against the bricks on the floor to guard against the stray flying ember and sparks. We went with a slightly wider size this time since, even with the "barn doors" on the fireplace, it's amazing how far a popper will fly.

Rug its self is great but def use tape to get pooky crap off at first. I also put 2 strips sticky non slider stuff it & you can see it thru after several months

Will not burn through! I love this rug. I put in front of my wood stove to protect my new flooring

Perfect. We have a wood burning stove insert Without this fire mat our area in front of the fire would be a mess.

Definitely does its job. Ashes are always spilling and it doesn't burn nor do ashes discolor or melt into it.
