Not great for heavy doors
Dont let the name fool you. This is all plastic. The damping system is fine but the weakness is the mounting screws. The dampers are attached to the cabinet with one, and only one screw at some weird 65 degree angle. Unfortunately there is no way to add another screw as the two screws would interfere. This means that a lot of sideways stress is applied to that lone mounting screw in a particle board cabinet. After a fey days of use, the whole thig rips off, leaving a mangled hole in my cabinet. I tried installing in various locations, same problem. Not recommended unless for very light duty or with a solid wood cabinet.

Works great!
These are awesome! My bathroom and laundry room don't have the silent close doors so I bought these for them. They are dead simple to install. The people complaining about not having 2 screws being used I don't really get as 1 is more than enough. It's just a door stopper it's not like it's a hinge or something. The only thing is I put them on smaller doors first (like maybe 24" tall) and they don't close fully as they aren't heavy enough, where as a normal size door def works. Just make sure you install them by the hinge and not the other way around. Just ordered some more of them, very happy with these.

A great addition to make European hinges into soft close hinges.
I have liked soft close hinges since they came out, and when I put a new vanity in our basement bathroom, I definitely wanted to add that feature since the European hinges weren't already soft close. These dampers seemed like a good inexpensive solution, so I ordered them to try them out. First thing, they are made from plastic with a nickel plating, they are not a full metal body. A plastic body isn't necessarily a bad thing, but for $30 for 5 dampers, they should be made from metal.Since no instructions were included, I had to do some trial and error with mounting, but it seems these dampers must be mounted on the same cabinet face as the hinges (I was hoping they could be mounted on the top or bottom, but the doors just bounce back open if you try that). The supplied screws work well to secure the dampers, but the holes in the body are drilled at an angle so that they intersect, meaning you can only put one screw into the damper for mounting. FInally, there is an adjustment knob on the backside that allows you to fine tune the damping force to make sure the damper doesn't prevent the door from closing, nor allow it to close too forcefully.

Most Important - THEY WORK, very easy to use
A couple recommendations when putting them on...loosen them a bit before screwing them in, that way you can easily adjust with your hand, if you dont their kinda tight to turn. I think one front end broke but that was me...and for any angled cupboards i tried taking the door off and moved the soft closing piece about 2-3 inches from the end and used 2 screws, put the door back on and it worked out great. they are a bit pricey I think for plastic but their pretty durable and saved me more $$ from having to buy soft closing proper hardware.
