I use this as a second walk up. I have delayed sleep disorder and this alrm wakes me up. I still have to set it up on the other side of the room to keep me up, but I hear it anytime it goes off and it's so loud that I have to turn it off. The only thing that bugs me is the feet come unscrewed pretty easily. I have to tighten them up often.l because once I lost one while traveling with it. Found the foot in my suitcase, but had I not, the clock would have been useless. However, this doesn't mean I wouldn't rebuy this clock should it fall apart. So few alarm clocks wake me, that a little twisting is no big deal.
