Easy part to change, saving water now.
RO system, Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! This stopped a small trickle of water through my water meterwhich was the answer to the puzzle I have been seeking for a year and 1/2. I thought it was a couple of other leaks I had found and fixed, but still the meter registered as moving. I never dreamed it was the water system. This part was original and 24 yr.s old. In turning off the water under the sink to change the last filter, I noticed the meter stopped. So I was thrilled to finally solve the on going problem and mystery, It costs a lot of money to hire a leak detecting company, so I figured I would eventually figure it out, and bingo this was it. So happy Amazon had the right part. It has been a process of elemination to accidentally run across this last piece of the puzzle since I did not know what this part did on the unit, but water was not going through the system after changing all the filters one by one, it came down to the shut off valve, the part I dreaded most on changing since it looked ominice and scary, but now I know all about the dreaded chore of changing everything on the unit and what they all do. I always wanted to ignore and out of sight out of mind when it came to this hard to get to and hard to undo to redo everything on this complex system. It takes alot of muscle as well as patience. I can now breath a sigh of relief, and feel a sense of accomplishment. This part which was the scariest ended up being the easiest of all the parts to change and now my 24 yr. old unit is like new again. I hope this helps someone else with the same problem, you live and learn. I will now be changing the filters more often since this experiance. Thanks again for having the parts I needed.

Good choice
There are many choices for this item. This one works much better than the previous replacement. Good flow, good tank refill control, looks solid and not cheaply made.

Working so on Watts Pure H20 RO System
Rating 4 stars for now because it's low cost and appears to be functioning as intended, though I just installed it yesterday. My Watts Pure H20 system has been running non-stop for several months and I noticed a big increase in my water bill. Turns out the automatic shutoff valve that got cracked during installation is a critical component of the system (I had been running without one). The installation instructions that came with this valve are worthless. After extensive searching on the internet I think I figured out how to install on my system. There is a high pressure side of on the top of the unit that is marked with "in" and "out" indications. The opposite side with screws is the low pressure side. Plug the green water supply line into the "in" port of the high pressure side, while the green line to the RO unit goes to the "out" port of this side. Then plug the blue water storage tank line into the "out" port of the low pressure side while the blue line going from the tank to the RO unit goes to the "in" port. This configuration appears to be working as the gurgling sound has stopped after the tank pressurized.

Perfect Replacement for Watts Premier RO Pure System
Had water constantly dripping down the drain from my Watts Premier RO Pure System. Did some research and thought I would need to replace the auto shut-off (ASO) valve. When I went to the Watts Premier site to order one, though, they were out of stock. Called Watts Premier support (which is always great), and they confirmed they were out of stock. After some questioning, they said I could substitute one if it was an APEC brand. While on the phone, though, they had me turn off the tank valve, and the dripping stopped immediately, so they told me I didn't need the valve but needed to repressurize the tank. After doing that, all seemed fine for a few months, but then it started again. In the meantime, I'd ordered this valve just in case, so when I noticed the problem again, I went ahead and installed it. Seems to be working perfectly now. The valve came with installation instructions and was a breeze to replace. The only difference between the original ASO and this one seems to be color. Glad I had it on hand when I needed it.

Only worked properly for a little over a month! APEC R/O is junk!
I originally bought an APEC R/O unit about 18 months ago. I noticed it running waste water continuously even when I stopped using it. Contacted customer support, but they said my water pressure was low. I bought a pressure gauge and the pressure was 56 PSI. I tried higher pressures gradually up to 70 PSI, but it still leaked. Support said it wasn’t high enough, which was bull. After studying the system extensively, I figured it was this valve that was not working properly. I ordered a new one from Amazon. I installed it June 5, 2023, and it did stop the constant draining issue. However, I went on vacation for a week over the 4th of July, so the system wasn’t being used. When I returned I checked the drain line and it was draining continuously even thought the R/O water had not been used for a week. This valve barely lasted a month, so my 30 day return is over. I would give this whole $290 R/O unit away free, but I wouldn’t feel good about giving this junk to anyone!

Great product! Fixed my constant trickling issue.
Great product. It fixed the trickling problem I was having with my existing RO system. My existing system is a Watts RO water filter system. My two-year-old Watts RO unit never stopped trickling water into my sink drain. It just kept running and running and the sound was annoying, not to mention that it was wasting water. So I first changed the filters (not the membrane), but that didn't fix the issue. So I decided to change the auto shut off valve before spending a lot more money on the RO membrane. Lucky for me, the shut off valve fixed the issue. The water now stops trickling only a couple minutes after I fill a glass. However....this valve didn't fix my capacity issue. When my RO unit was new I could fill a 1.5 liter bottle in one shot, then it got to the point where I could barely fill an 8oz glass before the water ran out. I fixed the capacity issue by adding a little air pressure to my RO tank using a bike pump.
