I have several of these hives in my bee yard and have been very pleased with the quality and attention of detail of these units. All the components are heavily waxed, including the hive bodies, which has helped them stand up to the weather very well. The dovetail joints a very precisely cut and fit together very tightly. The hive bodies are predrilled with countersunk holes for the included screws. All foundations are also heavily coated with wax which seems to be attractive to the bees as I have not had a problem with swarms abandoning these hives. All in all, I have been very pleased with these and strongly recommend them to you. I believe you will also be happy with them.

Nice fit of the pieces and actually fun to put together. Very convenient to have all the parts and it is all wax coated. I built a hive from scratch to make a different style of hive and it cost about the same amount as this kit!! I think the Mann Lake is a little better than the no name one and worth the few extra buck of cost.

I purchased 2 of these, and they have been solid so far. Simple and sturdy construction. Wax coating is decent. Price was best I could find as well. I've purchased another brand's 10-frame hive for about $10 more. It's nice too, but I like this one more because it doesn't have any labeling/branding and slightly better wax coating it seems. Will be buying more when I get more bees - good product.

This is very high quality wax coated wood. It actually beat my expectations for the price. Yes, I had to assemble it over 3 afternoons, but I only have like maybe 8-10 hours in it for 5 hives . 10 boxes; 100 frames hand assembled. The only reason I’m 4 starring this is because 2 of my bee hive roofs came in in pretty rough shape. But I’m going to contact the seller to hopefully get that resolved. I nailed them together and it was a pretty easy fix.

Durable and strong I have had might a couple years and the hives are very sturdy. Wax coating is starting to flake in places but easy to fix.

I bought two hive boxes. One 10 Fran and one eight. The eight Fran was better quality, but the ten Frame here went together easier. The 8 frame from the other was better cut. But this one was better covered with bees wax. For the price it was good! I busted the top on both. My drill was too much. Fits together well and a good price! My New NUC will love it

The hive was supposed to be coated in bees wax. It smells like its coated in pine sap. Not what I expected!

I finally got one today after the first two were damaged in transit. Amazon reimbursed me rather than sending a new one and of course the cost was higher when I ordered again. Hopefully the product is decent. Update: seems like a great hive. We are new to bee keeping but the hive went together well and appears to be well built.
