Shaving Mug, Apothecary Style, Cream Porcelain, Fits Up to 100g Shaving Pucks

Serves it's purpose.

It's a little bigger than anticipated, but is very easy to use. It doesn't fit in our medicine cabinet, but that probably reflects more on the cabinet. It has a good weight to it. Not too heavy or light. I kind of wish it were a little heavier. I would worry less about dropping it. I love the handle and the graphics. It is a bit yellowish like the photo and is not cream colored. There are three ridges in the bottom, one at each point of a triangle like in a Y formation. I'm glad I got it and have been using it daily since. I have a puck of Williams soap in the bottom but I put Cremo Creme on top sometimes for a little more lubrication. There is a lot of room to spare around the soap puck. It will take a very large puck.

It's a very good mug. The mug is thick. The mouth of the mug is wide. The depth is good. The handle is short and easy to grip. You need to put your soap puck in the microwave for 30 seconds to soften it so you can easily insert it into mug. I had to. TOOBS are very wide. Very good product and middle priced.

This mug is gorgeous. It would look good in any bathroom. The mug is awesome at retaining heat. I soak my brush in warm water while I shower, and when I get out (5-10 minutes) the water is the same temperature. The handle is great. Even when my hands are wet, I get a great grip without worrying that I'm accidentally going to drop it. I can build agreat lather with this apothecary mug. Just a warning, the sides of brushes do tend to hit the sides of the mug, making a clinking sound, but that's not really a big deal, as that comes with the territory of shave mugs. Overall, great look to the mug, great for lathering, and can hold pretty much any soap.

After years of wanting to try a shaving brush, I decided to buy this mug. Boy, was I glad that I did!This is an old fashioned, sturdy porelain mug that fits right in my hand. It's strong enough to withstand the whipping around of my shaving brush to get the right amount of foam from my shaving soap. It feels substantial without being heavy. And it looks great!I would highly recommend this shaving mug to anyone who's looking for one. This is the real deal!

Been using it for almost a year and looks like the day I first bought it. Absolutely perfect size for hard soaps as there is enough room in the bowl to develop a serious lather without the lather getting all over the counter.

Let's see, where to begin? First of all, I ordered the cream color mug but got a black one. That was strike one. Secondly, this thing is HUGE! I have been shaving with mug-style shaving soap for about a year now. In that time, I've tried three different brands of soaps. NONE are big enough to warrant requiring a mug of this size. The soaps I've used would literally be lost in this mug. I think the best use for this mug would be to eat chicken soup or your breakfast cereal from. Strike three? Well, I guess there isn't one but two is enough in this case. Maybe strike three would be the price. I don't think this thing is anywhere near worth 20 bucks...even if the color and size were appropriate. I'd vote you pass on this one.

Nice Large Mug, a bit deep as previous reviewers have noted. The inside diameter of the mug at the bottom measures 3 inches and flares out to 4 inches at the top. The depth of the mug is 3-1/2 inches. It is just as described above and a good value for a shaving mug.
