The all new Rally Graphite Power 5.0 Pickleball Paddle features 3 ground-breaking technological innovations to create a paddle with a huge sweet spot, excellent control and exceptional power. The first innovation is a revolutionary face featuring 4-layer hybrid graphite-carbon/polymer weave with polycarbonate overlay. This material combines the best of both worlds; offering the strong impact dispersing properties of a graphite weave with the responsiveness of a composite polymer style material. Within this face and using 2 perpendicular layers of unidirectional woven polymer strands we created our new Vertigrab Wave surface which creates a subsurface wave form texture that is reflected through the top polycarbonate layer for enhanced ball grab and spin. The next innovation in material and construction is our use of a thicker 9/16” core. This core increases overall rigidity and strength of the paddle across the entire length and width. All but the highest level performance paddles use thinner ½ inch or thinner cores, the Rally Graphite Power 5.0 is the only paddle in this price range to feature an extra thick core setting a new standard for paddles in this segment. This unique feature offers incredible consistency of shots across a larger area of the paddle reducing mis-hits and increasing energy transfer into the ball. Combined with the Vertigrab Wave surface the result is a super quite and low vibration paddle. Our third innovation is not a material but a process in our construction of the paddle. Instead of gluing the core and face together this paddle is built using a molecular bonding process which fuses the core and 4 layer face and 9/16” honeycomb core. The result is exceptional durability and a more even response and feel across the paddle. Review: Borrowed a Z5 for comparison and competes well for $20 less, good value Review: I'm new to pickleball so this is a beginner's review, not an expert one. I dont know anything about weight or spin or accuracy or power, but I do know that these paddles are easy to use for a beginner, and super fun! As a beginner, I found it totally comfortable to use, did not tire out my wrist or arm more than I would have expected. It has a large enough face that I had no trouble hitting the ball, and enough weight behind it that I could make my shots basisacll go as far and where I wanted them to go. All in all I find it a fantastic paddle for me, and I expect that I will be using it for quite a long time to come.
