Excellent buy
I actually purchased this as part of a Black Watch Halloween costume. I selected this one because it included the belt and sporran, saving $40-$50. I didn’t expect much, knowing what a “real” kilt costs. Wow, what a surprise. This kilt is amazing for the price! The materials are high quality. The workmanship is excellent. It has three snap positions to allow fine tuning the fit. I couldn’t believe how heavy it was given the price. The colors are not as bright as the photos indicate, which I consider good as the images I’ve seen of the Black Watch tartan aren’t that bright either. The kilt did seem a little long, but that may have been due to the fit issue which I will address next.I would offer one piece of advice. When you measure, pull the tape up snugly at navel height! My measurement wasn’t loose, but it wasn’t snug either. I wore the kilt as tight as I could get it, but still had to pull it up from time to time. I should have purchased a size smaller. I consider this a newbie mistake, not the fault of the manufacturer. There was no risk of it coming off as it would not have dropped below my hips. It just slipped down an inch or two from time to time.I highly recommend this product! I can’t imagine finding anything better at anywhere near the price point.

It was comfortable and looked good.
I got some compliments at the event I attended. I was pleased with the way it fit. My first one came in a bit big but they took the exchange very fast. Very pleased with the experience.

Buy This Kilt!
Additional Entry, 12-06-2022: This entry is an exception to my original review. The four buckles on the kilt are very poor-quality metal, much like pot metal. The first time I put the kilt on, the bottom buckle broke into several pieces, rendering it, and the associated strap, useless. So, the caveat here is, if you buy this otherwise nice kilt, you may have to either return the kilt or pay a qualified tailor to replace buckles in case one or more break. I have reduced my rating from five stars to four.Original Review: If you want to buy a kilt but are unsure of which ones are worth your money, buy this kilt! I looked at kilts on Amazon (and on other sites as well) for a long time: first, trying to decide if I really wanted one, and second, trying to decide which ones were of the best quality. You don't want your kilt experience to be ruined by poor design or poor quality, right? Right.I bought this kilt and am very happy with it. It fits perfectly, looks great, and it is VERY well-made. The material feels substantial, not cheap. It has good weight, so you are not walking around with a piece of thin material wrapped around you.I'm going to join the other positive reviewers of this kilt. I am very impressed with the appearance and the quality of this kilt. Five Stars!

I am a Serial Kilter Absolute Awesome Kilt on a budget by
I am a wee bit larger then most round my fine belly mostly because I do spend part of my time training as a strongman. I found this kilt to be well fitted snd comfortable on budget it. I am also a serial kilter and wear almost nothing but a kilt except when working on my homestead but even then normal still wear it. I would highly recommend it.

Excellent, value for money kilt
Very good advice on choosing the right size from the seller. A good fit. Perfectly acceptable to wear at a social function. Belts are plastic, but are reinforced with metal eyelets. Sporran very useful. Nicely cut. If the belts were leather would be much more expensive than the current price. Recommended.

Get your iron out!
The kilt looks fine. I've had lots of compliments about it. I ordered by sizing exactly as described - on my knees, at the navel with a relaxed stomach. The measurement came to exactly 46". I tried it on right after it arrived and the fit seemed snug. However, as soon as I put the sporran on and added a wallet and a car fob, things started to slip. The belts, at their snuggest, are the size ordered, but they can't be made to go any tighter. If you gained weight... fine, because they can be let out, but if you lose weight or carry anything in the sporran, you'll need suspenders. Maybe this won't matter if you're one of those guys who spends half his day hiking up his pants, but I am not. This is less significant, but the kilt's advertised drop is a standard 24". Mine arrived with a 23-inch drop, which worked for me, because the drop is measured on your knees from your navel to the floor. My drop is less than 24", so I was lucky, because you don't want to have the kilt land at your knees. The material can be particularly chafing at the back of the knee, especially if the thing gets wet. It should come to just below your knee, not so long as to cover the top of your socks or so short as to make you look like you're wearing a school girl's pleated skirt. One of the hip buckles was stitched on to to the belt backwards. I'll have to tear out the stitches and re-sew. It still works and only you will notice, probably when you try to buckle it for the first time. The kilt came shipped "stuffed" into a plastic bag. It came full of wrinkles. It took considerable time and patience to iron it flat and to re-seat the pleats. Well-made kits have a tapered apron; narrower at the top than at the bottom. This one comes with a straight apron and I am not so competent as to try to correct it.All that said, I bought my first kilt, custom-made from an outfitter in Nova Scotia in 1975. It cost over $400 then in 1975 dollars. For just over a hundred 2022 bucks and with a little work, you get a nice kilt that folks will admire and which serves its purpose quite well.
