It works!!!
I recommended this for a friend who is on a low-potassium (K) diet. I figured that if it worked for aquarium water it would work for water that boiled potatoes, which have a high K content. After one boil in a full pot of water the K level of the boiled water was high. But after three boils the K level in the boiled was significantly lower. (Boiling is recommended by doctors for lowering K content.) This test helps her to know if boiling or other water-soak methods to lower K in food will help her decision on her diet. Still, I recommended that she not gorge on boiled potatoes but only eat a small amount to satisfy a craving.

They are selling old stock that expires in few months.
It works. My potassium tested at 430ppm and I believe that is accurate since I have been dosing aqua forest. 1 star because the test kits they are selling are old stock. My kit expires 10/2018 so in 5 months I have to buy another regardless of how much I use. The picture in the top clearly has an expiration date of 7/2020 so they are caught red handed that it is not a short lived kit and they are selling old overstocked products.

Excellent, but...
You need to be extremely particular when using this kit. It is a quality test kit, but very sensitive to mistakes. Good value. The color change is a bit harder to see, so I prefer to just set tank to 470ppm, and if 1 drop makes it turn blue, it's good. IME, 400ppm is the MINIMUM K level to shoot for.
