Was originally planning to use pvc pipe or a socket to do this job since I didn’t want to spend $40 on the tool from Fox. After pulling the fork apart I found this tool and decided it was worth a try. Made driving the new seals in effortless. The new version of the Fox seals are flange less and this made getting the depth perfect a piece of cake.

Great Price, Works Perfectly
My first time installing dust seals on my fork. The old seals had a flange, and the new ones don’t. I tried installing without a tool, and it didn’t work. I looked for the Fox tool, but it would take a week to get it and it was twice as expensive. I got this tool in a day and it made the job easy. It was larger than I expected, but it fit perfectly. I used a rubber mallet, and the tool was not damaged.

Great product, very easy to use
Very easy tool to use to install new seals on my RockShox SID fork. The tool is surprisingly large, and I seated the new seals with my hand and only gave the tool a final whack with a mallet for good measure. I removed and reinstalled the outer spring according to the Rock Shox instructions, but this tool has a generous recessed bevel, to protect the lip of the seal during installation, so that spring removal might not have been necessary. I’ll by another one of these tools for my 34mm fork!
