The hydro brush is a liquid dispensing hair brush brought to you exclusively from club roots. It allows an unmatched user experience for delivery of topical hair loss treatments to your scalp. How does it work? The treatment applies to the scalp at the tip of each bristle, which only allows the treatment to flow when there is pressure applied to the ball. This pressure happens when you are physically brushing your head. This ensures that no treatment gets on your hair. How to fill the hydro brush? The handle of the hydro brush unscrews to allow the brush to be filled with 60ml of serum. It then seals tightly so there is no leaking. Why use the hydro brush? Have you ever tried a dropper or sprayer to apply hair growth treatments? There is no simple way to use these applicators without hair growth material getting on your hair. This causes the hair to get wet and clump together causing your styling to be off. The hydro brush by club roots allows you to use treatment without affecting the appearance of your hair. Hair growth treatments work well when applied twice daily. Applying foam with your hand or serum with a dropper ends up being cumbersome and frustrating.

Roots Hair Club is a really great brand, amazing invention with the Hydrobrush
I’ve been using hair growth treatments and products from a lot of different companies over the years. I’m in the business world and think a lot about this. My general observations about this versus other products:1. I’ve been using minoxidil for a while, and this brush is the best way to apply hair growth treatments I have ever seen. It is far superior to sprayers, because treatment gets directly on your scalp and not your hair, so it doesn’t affect style. My liquid minoxidil deposits 100% to my scalp with a few brushes, none of my coworkers can tell I’ve applied anything.2. There is a high attention to detail in all aspects of this product, even from the box it arrives in. The brush is made of solid thick plastic, with a soft-touch lid that keeps it secure and protected. It seals very well, there is no leaking at all.3. I never knew there was more that one can do besides liquid minoxidil, but after reading more about this brand it looks like there are new options. I’m a skeptic, but it seems that Pareto’s principle applies here: minoxidil probably drives 80% of the results, but for the remaining 20% of the results are driven by Spark brush liquid from Roots. I just started this treatment, will wait 3 months and see if it helps.4. There are no instructions that come with this, but its pretty easy to use. Just open the cap on the handle and pull out the plastic seal, then fill with minoxidil. Seal and you are good to go for the next month (or so). Usage all depends on how many times you brush your head, sometimes I go through bottles faster now but I’m getting complete scalp coverage so that makes sense. This might be the best news that has happened to hair loss sufferers in a long time. I really hope that if you are reading this and debating if you should take action, you don’t hesitate and start. As someone who has kept his hair loss in check, I’ve realized that the key is starting early and using all the treatments available that work for you. Don’t over think it. Every day you wait is another day your hair gets damaged, and like anything, prevention is ALWAYS better than the cure.

FELL APART IN LESS THAN 45 DAYS
**DO NOT BUY***. The glue dissolves and pieces separate. I got it on March 28 and it was useless by May 10. UPDATE****. I changed from 1 star to 3 stars. If buying this to use with rogaine/minoxidil, still do not buy....YET. They refunded my money, hence the rating change to fair. They informed me that Club Roots is working on improving the brush to work with other products, ie. Minoxidil. The function of this brush is fantastic but it falls apart due to the glue dissolving. If/when the glue/joint is secured and this brush is able to stand up to having minoxidil in it for long periods of time, I WILL BUY THIS AGAIN ONCE IT IS IMPROVED. It really does work well. The darn thing just feel apart.

Worked ok, while it lasted...then all at once it failed spectacularly
Worked well enough for 5mo, until it failed! It takes a little bit of use to get to know how to disperse the liquid uniformly, but once you have the hang it does its job well. It puts the liquid on your scalp and keeps it out of your hair pretty well. The problem is this morning as I was using it I heard a little air leaking noise here or there then started feeling liquid roll down the back of my neck!! I inspected the comb and noticed my hand was also soaking wet. Well, one side of the comb has come separated and it freaking drained probably 20ml of liquid ALL OVER ME within seconds. It was like it all of a sudden came separated and then the pressure of the comb area compressing turned the dang thing into a turkey baster.Totally S*#( failure.

Only lasted about 6 Months
This was my first impression: This brush works great and does exactly what it is intended to do. It distributes liquid evenly on the scalp. I've had no problems with it. When not in use, I keep the bristles pointing upward at all times to prevent the product from leaking out. It seems to dispense exactly the right amount. If I hadn't found this tool, I probably would have given up trying to apply a product to my scalp twice daily. This brush makes it effortless. It's now six months since I wrote my review. The brush is leaking so badly I cannot use it and had to throw it away. As much as I liked using it, I can't recommend buying one

pretty much delivers upon it's promise
pretty much delivers upon it's promise. one benefit is the ability to scrub the scull (that is if you want and how hard you want... ) with the pins of the brush while applying the liquid. The pins are strong enough and will not bend or break off while doing that. Well made. The only problem is that you have to keep on its back while not using it so the liquid inside it will not drip out (slowly but still).

As a trained doctor, I am excited about the potential benefit to patients
After getting a call from one of the founders of Roots Hair Club, a close friend of mine, I was very impressed with the work they are doing to advance and improve the lives of those with hair loss. I find patients get stuck between a rock and a hard place when they ask a doctor what to do about hair loss: in our scientific skepticism, we only the recommend FDA approved treatments, which are minoxidil and propecia. There is some very interesting research going on at Roots Hair Club, and I really think they are on to something. The HydroBrush is the way these treatments are meant to be delivered. It is very important when delivering topical treatments to ensure complete scalp coverage, otherwise you leave certain areas that may still be sensitive to DHT to be affected by not having treatment. Given that there are over 100,000 hair follicles on an average head, you can imagine the improved results people would experience if they actually applied treatments properly. However, the HydroBrush is only as good as the treatments you fill it with. Roots Hair Club has built a topical treatment, Spark, which can actually be combined with minoxidil in the brush. It creates a suspension, and then both get applied to your scalp evenly. This is a very innovative product that has been submitted for clinical trials at a medical center because it is so promising. For all of you out there suffering from hair loss, I would encourage giving these new treatments a try.
