When Sergeant Michael Dunne (Paul Gross Igunless/I) Is Wounded In Battle During World War I He Is Sent Home To Calgary Alberta While Recovering From His Injuries He Becomes Enamored With Sarah Mann (Caroline Dhavernas Ibreach/I) A Beautiful Young Nurse Sarahs Brother David Desperately Wants To Follow In Michaels Heroic Footsteps In Order To Impress His Girlfriends Father But He Is Not Able To Enlist Because Of His Asthma When Strings Are Pulled And David Is Allowed To Join The Ranks Michael Finds Himself Fighting For The Safety Of The Young Man For The Heart Of His True Love And For His Own Survival
