Great product, exactly what I was looking for
I had been using a Viking Tactical (VTAC) padded sling. It was good for comfort but the pad ended up being more of a nuisance when manipulating the weapon in certain ways. I also didn't like the two different ways of adjusting the sling, grabbing it in one place to tighten and another to loosen, so I went looking for a new sling. The two point sling from STI seemed to be what I was looking for and in general, it's a very good value. It's comfortable, good quality and has just one place to grab for loosening and tightening. Unfortunately, it wasn't as smooth as I'd like when tightening. It wasn't a major issue, but noticeable, so I returned it. If you want to save a few bucks and you're less picky, you might want to consider that one.The Vickers sling is more than double the cost of the STI, but I'm really happy that I got it. The Vickers sling is two pieces, each end secures to a mount point and once fastened, neither moves. When tightening and loosening on the Vickers, the nylon is moving through a glide that is the join point between the two pieces and it moves more smoothly. As mentioned in all the other reviews, the quality is great. It's easy to adjust to my body (I'm 5'11, 175 lbs). When I use the quick adjust to tighten it, the weapon is right where I want it to be. When I loosen it, I can manipulate the weapon as I want and easily swim my left hand out if needed.Great product and though it cost more, it's worth it.

Perfection!
This sling reminds me of many MAGPUL products. They took a simple item that has been around for years and improved it to perfection. I bought this sling at the suggestion of a friend.I first actually "used" this sling, other than shooting a little at the range, during a six day AR-15 instructor class. It wasn't long into the class that I was glad that I made the decision to buy this sling. The number one quality I like about this sling is it's simple, flawless function. You simply pull forward (away) on the gray strap to tighten it, and pull backward (towards you) to loosen it.The second quality of this sling that I really like is the thickness of the webbing. It's very robust, similar to a come-along strap. Other slings that I've used were very thin, which made them more susceptible to twisting and folding. My guess is that there will be many knock-offs of this sling in the future, if they're not already being made. I would have loved to have had a sling like this when I was in the Army.A couple other reviewers made mention that they didn't like the plastic buckles. I don't have a problem with plastic, as long as it's good quality. Metal buckles get hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. Metal is also nosier when it comes in contact with your rifle, and given time it will rust

It is simple to install, intuitive to operate, and looks sharp.
Webbing is tight-knitted and more substantial as compared to others. The quick adjustment pull is useful. Easy to install and has an extra inline buckel to secure webbing excess so no dredded 'flap'. A little pricey perhaps, but you can't really tell until you use it a few years. Others who have put in the time tell me theirs still looks and feels new.

Built for speed, not for comfort.
Highly functional, simplistic sling system. The pull tab is a genius design. I use this for my CMMG Banshee, and I will tell you this. If you use this on a heavy rifle, like above 7 pounds, this sling will dig into you a bit. I recommend some DIY padding maybe to mitigate that, because it's really the perfect sling for two point operation. If you thread the front into a QD paraclip mount or something like the Urban ERT sling uses, you can probably even rig up a one point transfer somehow. Overall well worth the small price tag, for high quality materials and the ergonomic function.

Best sling I ever had!
I went through three different 2 point slings, trying to find one that will make it easy and comfortable to use on my rifle, and that had a pull tab or an equivilant of one, that will allow me to adjust my sling on the fly when I'm going from my rifle hanging on the front of my body(mostly up and down), to firing position, to hanging on my back, back to firing position, and swapping between right and left hand shooting positions without the sling choking me and I don't have to constantly fidget and adjust it to fit every use I would have for it. I was able to get it to work within 15 minutes after unpackaging it and it worked so well, that 20 minutes after I tested it on my rifle, I immediately got back on amazon and ordered a SECOND one for my shotgun. Truly the best sling I've ever had, and the FIRST sling that isn't a pain in the arse to use. Two thumbs up from me.

Quality Sling That's Only Beaten By One Other
It's a great sling that's only beaten, in my opinion, by the Ferro Concepts Slingster, which is not availale on Amazon.A variant of this sling is current military standard issue. it's rugged and easy to use. The sling is a bit stiff, but over time and use it can be worked in. The sling material is like a rugged backpack type of material. Some may like stiff slings; I personally don't. The stiffness of the sling DOES NOT affect it's adjustment ability. The triglide slides smoothly and easily, unlike the Haley Strategic D3 sling, which I couldn't stand. It does not slide as smoothly as the Slingster does. It also normally does not come with metal hardware or a pad; the Slingster includes both. The Slingster material is also more like a seatbelt type material. If you go to the Blue Force Gear website, you can see the many options available. There you can add padding, select from MANY colors (they beat the Slingster on color options; they even have orange for training/non-lethal), mounting solutions, metal hardware, etc. Check out the website then come back to Amazon for better pricing on certain pre-builds.
