Q: What size is the box this comes in?

It comes in pieces. So box isn’t that big. I gave this a 1 star. The Velcro balls and darts don’t stick. The darts fell apart and the balls don’t stay inflated.

Maybe a gallon. The balls don’t stick and the darts fell apart on the first use

This hoop is exactly a 18" piece of garbage, cheaply made ,poor quality

No, it doesn't come with a ball. The hoop can handle a standard or smaller size ball, but this backboard is smaller than regulation, so perfect for younger kids. And very stable when the base is filled with water.
