My son is a butcher show teaches the program. I purchased this book as well as another book by this author and my son highly recommends both books. They are well written with easy to follow photos.

I've been processing for over 20 years on the farm. This book is the book I recommend to people wanting to learn to processing. It's extremely detailed and has photos, which for most people is essential. I have the entire collection and I recommend anyone who I raising animals to have these books. You never know when you'll need to process an animal and these book can help wall you through it.

Definitely for those who homestead and raise their own animals for meat. Well written, with lots of colour photos, absolutely recommend this book. I bough paperback version. Not suitable for sensitive people but hey...this book is what it say it will be about. So happy to have this handy helper in my library shelf.

This was a gift for a friend who has a multitude of butchering books but when she opened this one up and flipped through it looking at the incredibly well detailed illustrations she literally said "well I think I can probably throw out all my other butchering books now." This is an individual who collects and saves variations on ways of doing things, so speaks volumes of just how outstanding this book really is, plus for the price point....Wow you can't go wrong it's a heavy, well built/ put together book and arrived much faster than the expected arrival date. 5 out of 5 stars ++
