Teacher Created Materials - Science Readers: Content and Literacy: Let's Explore Life Science - 10 Book Set - Grades 4-5

This is a beautiful set of books. I just received them as a gift and they are already a big hit in my classroom. The pictures are wonderful and have helped me show my students some of the science concepts that they were struggling to grasp from just our textbooks. The topics are engaging and appropriate for 4th and 5th graders. I teach 4th grade and have shared these books with the 5th grade teachers I work with. They especially liked the book on cells. We all agree the text is written in an accessible format that really appeals to students. My students really like the extra fact boxes within the text. They were astounded at how the process of photosynthesis was discovered. In the week that I have had them, these books have already been a great resource to supplement the science textbook that my school district uses. My students ask to borrow these books all the time and even my students who normally aren't eager readers even ask to read them.
