Best Back Cushion Pain Relief Full Back Muscle Pain Relief Support Cushion Mid-Back Support for Office, Home or Car

This is the best solution I've found for sitting in my office chair. It's taking some getting used to. I put it on my chair at the office. The first couple of days my back was sore by the end of the day... of course that is not unusual, but it was sore in a different way as though my muscles were relearning how to sit. I have a standard fare office chair with poorly designed ergonomics (i.e. the lumbar is so low it hits me in the pelvis forcing me to sit more forward and lose all the middle and upper back support). Seems most manufacture's are unaware people have a pelvis and put the whole "s" shaped ergonomic back design 6 - 8" too low. This cushion is helping to fill the "void" created by these poorly designed chairs. It holds extremely well to the chair, great straps! You have to want to move it to move it. It's well made. At first I thought it was thin, but it's actuall just the right size to provide optimal support. Sometimes I feel like it's too straight, but then I've been sitting without back support for all my life. One thing I've learned trying to find a back friendly solution to badly designed car seats and office chairs is that the cushions may be great on a nice right angle bench, but when you put them on these poorly designed so-called ergonomic seats and chairs, you have to account for fixing the poor design, then creating a good design. This is one of the few cushions that doesn't focus on the lumbar, making already bad seats worse yet. It gives that middle back and lower thoracic support that is absent in your average chair and for that it has my kudos! I will keep using it and see how it goes as time progresses and my back muscles get used to it.

I bought this product hoping it would help with pain related to posture. Specifically, I need a pad to encourage my shoulders to be back, not hunched forward. After searching a fair bit, this product seemed liked the best bet, despite the high cost.First, the cost is entirely unjustified. There is nothing special about this product and it is not especially well made. Its some normal foam with inexpensive cloth over it and normal straps - I'd expect to pay $20-30 dollars at a retail store for something similar, making the near $100 paid here absurd. I'd hoped the quality would be higher, justifying the cost, but this is not the case. There is nothing about this product that justifies the cost.This cost still could have been worth it for me if the product met my needs. That is, if it had resolved my posture/pain issues, I'd pay whatever it takes. Given the reviews here, it certainly seems to do that for some, but it did not help me. I found it uncomfortable and awkward to sit with. This is despite giving it some time to get used to a new sitting position. Rolle up a bath towel tightly, place that over the back of your chair, and then sit with that along your spine - that is effectively what this product accomplishes. If you want a slightly nicer version of that, this might be what you want.All of this would still be okay if it weren't for the fact that this item cannot be returned. I have a completely new, undamaged, still in the packaging piece of foam that I can do nothing with. I've effectively spent $100 just to put more waste in a landfill, wasting my money and the materials. I can't remember the last time that something I bought on Amazon couldn't be returned.Considering all this, unless you are absolutely sure this product will be worth the inordinate cost for you - don't buy it. In fact, don't work with this seller at all.

A great (read: inexpensive) substitute for an expensive, quality chair. For my home office, I invested in a Herman Miller Aeron chair ($1000+). Worth every penny, but not practical for most budgets (and a bit overextended for mine, but I spend a lot of time writing).This BackBone cushion I recently purchased to augment the crappy office chair. Anyone who has back issues knows the chair of which I speak. Horrible, particularly if you need to spend much time in it yet don't want to go through the hassle and embarrassment of having an "ergonomic evaluation" performed, special paperwork (including a doctor recommendation), etc. to get a good chair (and then spend the rest of your career with the stares of other people ("why does HE get a good chair?") and the potential loss of said chair one morning when you show up to work to find it missing in a building of 3,000.I can't say yet if this product will continue its positive effect on my back, spine, and neck long-term, and I will update the review as time progresses, but after using it a few days, I am already convinced that, if nothing else, this is FAR better than nothing. I'm considering getting a second for my pickup truck (pickups aren't generally designed for ergonomic comfort until you drop $40K+ on one). My bucket cloth seats are okay, but I can see them feeling even better this this lumbar and spine support.

I've been using this product for about one week and still adjusting to it. I wish I had bought this product before driving across the country! It is almost perfect for my needs in my car. I love how my upper back can be supported while my shoulders can roll back rather than hunching forward from the car seat. It does fall a little lower than I would like causing my low back to feel too much pressure but there doesn't seem to be anything better than this one the market. It was easy to attach to my car seat but the straps are a bit fussy and difficult to adjust due to the elastic and the clamps are difficult to open but once it's in place it won't need to be removed often. It seems to be of very good quality and worth the money.
