Super easy to use, quality product and accurate
Excellent quality thermometer with all the important features: super easy to use, it's fast, 1-3 seconds, along with the digital temperature display it lights up red and beeps if a fever is detected or green within normal range, you can use it on the forehead or in the ear and it is highly accurate. It comes with batteries so literally it's ready to go as soon as you have it in your hands. You don't have to worry about the batteries because it automatically shuts off after 10 seconds. There are clear instructions how to use this product including pictures for visual learners. The pictures show the right and wrong way to take readings. This thermometer is so easy to use it would be good for seasoned parents, grandparents, first time parents, caregivers and even teen babysitters. There is even a table in the instruction book that tells you how to interpret the results using the digital display reading, color, what it indicates and what to do.It has a backlit display for easy temperature taking throughout the night so you don't have to fumble with a light and chance waking them up. The memory keeps 20 readings so it is easy to keep track, if needed, for several days. You choose either Fahrenheit or Celcius and the instructions to switch between the two are easy to understand. One surprising use for this thermometer is that you can use it to measure room temperature. This could be useful especially at bedtime to ensure the room is cooler to promote better sleep. When you are running a fever you can be really uncomfortable if the room is too warm.I actually put this thermometer to the test by checking my own temperature for 5 minutes straight, first across my forehead and then via my ear. Each and every time the reading was the same with .1 or .2 difference. Accuracy is very important when you are dealing with a sick child especially if they are running a fever and you are giving a fever reducer so that you can see it is working. There is also a money back guarantee that if after 100 days you are not satisfied just contact their customer service and they will make it right with you. They promise.

It works well!!
This iProven thermometer is a lifesaver! It's so fast and easy to use, giving me a reading in seconds. I love the color-coded display – it makes it super simple to see if there's a fever. Plus, the memory function is a great help for tracking temperatures over time. It's definitely worth the investment for peace of mind, especially with little ones around.

Replacement works much better
Edit:After posting this review @ 1 star, the company took the initiative to contact me and send me a replacement unit. The new unit properly reads ear temperatures now, and our whole family was around 98.3-98.6 when at rest on the couch. The forehead is still a bit low, but much more consistently in the low 98s. I have noticed with the new one that the placement of the thermometer on the forehead is very sensitive and can vary from 96.5 to 99.6 going from right above the nose up to the hairline; however, it seems that for each person the temperature gradient is consistent +- 0.3F. So at least now we can make a note where to measure each kid on their head to compare to a healthy 98.6 temperature. 4 stars due to the inaccuracy of +-0.3F, but I feel much more comfortable relying on this for temperatures now.------------We've had this for a few months now. We took the initiative of taking "healthy" temperatures in the forehead mode - multiple times because our kids turned it into somewhat of a game. Our healthy temperatures were usually 96.5-97.5 F. I know mid 97s can be legit, but I've never heard of 96 being normal. The ear one would never consistently work at all and read too low of a temperature. That said, when we needed it when I and my son had fevers, it was difficult to say what our temperature actually was. Do we add 1.5-2 deg to the 100F it's reading for a 101.5-102.0F temp? In any case, I am very disappointed in the quality of this product based on the other reviews. Should have returned it when our healthy temperatures were so frequently inaccurate.

Fast, convenient, and accurate!
The media could not be loaded. I've never owned a forehead thermometer before, but I love it! It's so much nicer than sticking an oral thermometer in my mouth, especially when I'm not feeling well. The thermometer comes in a nice, soft pouch with a drawstring, and there are directions for forehead use and ear use. There's also a bonus use for measuring the ambient room temperature! When you first take it out of the pouch, you'll need to remove the plastic tab sticking out of the battery compartment (it takes 2 AAAs that are included). You can also remove the protective film over the screen. There are only two buttons, Head and Ear, so it is very simple to use.To use on the forehead, simply press and hold the Head button as you lightly touch it to the side of your eye, then in between your eyes, then to the side of your other eye. When you release the Head button, it will beep once and display your temperature (see the video of my husband demonstrating this). If your temperature is normal, the screen will be green. If your temperature is high, it will beep several times and the display will be red. If you press the tip to your forehead too firmly, you will get a reading that is too high. A light touch is all you need. To use in the ear, you need to take the white forehead cap off. When you put it in your ear, you need to make sure it's pointed at the eardrum, so gently pull the ear up and back. When it's in position, press the Ear button once. To measure the ambient room temperature, point it at the ceiling and press the Ear button once. It's as simple as that! This really is a wonderful thermometer! There's no wait time, it's not invasive, and it's quite accurate. The backlight is convenient for nighttime use, and I love that it comes with a pouch for storage. I highly recommend this thermometer if you hate oral thermometers, if you have children, or if you're looking for a fancy, but affordable thermometer!
