Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was looking for an alternative for my regular hair gel that was less expensive. This is doing a nice job. but I need to learn how much to use for best results.

My only issue is the longer your hair is it flakes, but I love the hold & shine! My daughter is natural & has long thick hair & it looked like she dipped her head in a sea of dandruff
