My wife has been suffering from allergic reactions (red, itchy, gunky eyes) to 4 cats that we recently adopted (we had never had cats before as adults), and putting a couple of these in ours house have helped with her cat allergies quite a bit. We put one of these in the fairly large "cat room" portion of the house, which is where the cats always stay, and one in our bedroom. Those two rooms also seem to be a lot less dusty now. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the filters twice a week, but we've found that cleaning them just once a week works well for us. The filters are very easy to pull out to clean. To clean them, I take the filters outside and brush them off (the top side only) with a fairly large, soft brush, which is quick and easy. The manufacturer says that you can also clean the filers by holding a vacuum cleaner hose near the filters to suck out all of the dust and particles, but they also give a brush cleaning option, and that works great for us. The instruction manual is simple, well-written, and easy to understand. It tells you everything you need to know about the unit. Things that I especially like about this air purifier: (1) It automatically senses how dirty the air is and automatically adjusts the fan speed accordingly; (2) It is extremely quite, even when the fan is running at high speed (we have one of these in our bedroom, and we sleep just fine with it on, and almost don't even notice that it's on); (3) It has a button lock feature that allows you to lock the buttons so that children or pets can't accidentally turn it off when you want it to keep running (very important in our "cat room"); (4) You can easily turn off the light inside the unit and dim the control button lights with one quick press of a button (especially good if you're using one in a bedroom like we are); (5) This unit is surprisingly small for an air purifier that works in a such a large area (which is another great feature of it), since it is effective in a room or area up to 547 square feet in size. This unit seems to be of high quality, and we expect these air purifiers to serve us well for a very long time. The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter about every 3 to 6 months. We've only had our units for a month, so we haven't had to replace the filters yet, BUT we did go ahead and order a couple of replacement filters so that we have them ready when we do need them. I would recommend that you do this also, since they seem to go out of stock from time to time. (SEE: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0972N3G4L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) NOTE: If you have a power outage, even a brief power interruption that only lasts for about one second or so, these units will automatically turn off, and will still be off when the power comes back on, which means that you will have to turn them back on again after any power interruption. (We discovered this recently when we had a short power-off blip in our home.) So, it's always a good idea to check them from time to time (especially if you've been gone from home for a while) to make sure that they are still on, like you want them to be. This is easy to forget about doing, since they run so quietly. We are very pleased with these, and we highly recommend them.

I've had this for over a month now, and I really enjoy its size versus how much space it helps filter. It's a small profile filter and can be put on a shelf or on the floor, it's quiet, and works really well. I have three different brands of air filter in my home, and this one is my favorite and I would repurchase if I need to replace any of the others.

Great value for the money! Easy to work. Seems to be well built. It was easy to install the filter. I have it set on auto so it shuts down. It's not super quiet but since it's on auto the noise is tolerable. I'm happy with it!

I am so far amazed by this little work horse. I had moved into a 695 sq foot open concept apartment a few months ago. Once whatever cleaning products they used wore off there was a very odd odor. I’ve tried to get rid of this for the better part of a month and a half. The odor is hard to describe. Let’s just say it’s not pleasant. I received this yesterday afternoon and promptly plugged it in and turned it on high. I let that run for about an hour and a half. I then put it on automatic. This morning is the first time since moving in that I have woke up without a stuffy nose. When I returned from my morning, walk with my dogs, I smelled nothing upon entering my apartment. Y’all I am ecstatic. I wasn’t expecting a ton at this price point. I am blown away by its capabilities and the features that it packs. 24 hours in I would 100% recommend this.

Works great. After just a few hours I could already tell that it was improving the quality of air in my home. The day the power went out while I was at work and I came home I could tell right away it had not been running. Within a few hours of turning it back on the air was fresh again. I'm sorry I didn't buy 2 one for each end of my house, I will just have to keep an eye out in case they go on sale again.

Good product. Have three: One for bedroom, living room and near kitchen, each with second best or best filter option. Low 'noise' except when on high setting. Use these with good quality compatible 2nd party filters which last for 6-12 months.

UPDATE: After using this now for 6 months, some things that were not apparent when we first got this into use, are now. 1) The AUTO which supposedly measure air purity and regulates fan speed, does not work at all. If using in "AUTO" , the fan always stays at the lowest speed. 2) There seems little removal of airborne dust at any other speed then HIGH. Even on HIGH, holding your hand on the air flowing from the top doesn't seem that strong at all. I feel the air velocity on this unit is poor. Given it is so small and has a small filter area, it just can't keep up with keeping the air clean. We use this in a spare room with closed windows, that's away from general activity, and still notice dust on everything, even on top of this unit itself. Our 5 star rating is now only 2. Our original review below remains intact, but, sadly, it no longer applies to this product. We got this to put in a guest room adjacent to our bedroom. We have a larger 1500+ sq ft air purifier at one end of the house near dining room and kitchen where it works best and decided to get a smaller unit for the other less-dusty- end of our house. This works well. Quiet, has multiple speeds or an auto position which we use and you can adjust the lights on panel to two levels of intensity or turn them off completely. The filter on this is well made and a smaller version of the charcoal activated/filter combo frame we have in our large unit. We've found that gently vacuuming once a month on the front of the filter where the black charcoal layer is can extend filter life and more importantly, allow the air to flow very efficiently due to no dust coating in the way of air flow. This small purifier is built well and feels sturdy, has a very compact profile (we have it on a small bed end table and it fits with room to spare and allow the table lamp to remain in place!). The fan is quiet in low and medium speeds and not that noisy even at high. There is a sleep mode as well where the fan goes into a very low speed. We keep our YIOU in auto with the lights off and typically it always run in low speed, a few times rising to medium speed as needed. If you are looking for an efficient and compact air purifier that has a very good filtering system, this is one to purchase and hopefully, it'll be a keeper. 5 Stars all around, no complaints!
