Helping a dog that sheds like crazy. We have a very large rescue dog that just showed up at our house and decided to stay. He is a wonderful dog but his shedding has been driving me wild. He will not let you near him with any instrument that makes noise like a vacuum, a batter operated de-shedding tool, or anything catches his hair and pulls. I have finally found one that works and it is the Deshedding Tool by Hertzko. The first time I used it, Hershey just laid down and let me work on him. Finally this is the 4th one I've bought from various sellers in last 3 weeks. The big big one had the blade broke from handle and unreparable. So this shedding blade is awesome as far as it not being blunt teeth nice sharp but not sharp as in hurt your dog sharp. I mean sharp as in takes out much more hair in 1 stroke than ANY of the other shedding blades I have purchased. The blade is pretty thick and strong not that usual flimsy stainless steel. My only drawback ( not the fault of the product) but I wish the actual blade was longer like twice or 3 times as long like my old shedding blade) as I have a hairy big girl. Can't find the bigger blade ones anywhere. The blade slides in and out effortlessly. Totally recommend this product. Will order a 2nd one too so I have a back up when other one wears out. This is truly a wonderful tool. I have 2 cats, litter mates of the same age, both short hair, but their coat is quite different. The tabby has a coat while shedding normally during this season, daily brushing (using a normal wire brush) seems to be all he needs. The other one is a grey and white, but he has an undercoat that no amount of brushing can get rid of his thick undercoat. He's been trailing white fur all over the house since May. I finally got tired of vacuuming 3 times a day and looked on Amazon for something. I decided to give this shedding tool a try and boy was I happy. I take him outside in the morning and give him a good brushing from head to tail (he loves it, I hear his motor going full steam) until no more fur is flying in the air. Then for the next 3 day he just gets a regular wire brushing for hair shedding and not a wisp of undercoat flies out! I LOVE IT. It is also the perfect size for cats and small dogs. But if you have big dogs, I think you might want to try the next size up, I'm sure they sell one.

loved this tool! I have a Australian Cattle Dog mix with a very thick coat and he sheds quite a bit! This blade does a great job of getting out the loose undercoat and any skin 'flakes' as well, cutting down greatly on the hair & dander in the house. He also enjoys this quite a bit and will follow me around the house when I have it in my hand! I've had these before but this is the first one that is adjustable, which I didn't think about as an 'advantage' when I purchased it, but after having used it, I really like this feature a lot! It lets me make the blade longer for working on his back & side and make it smaller so it's easier to handle when doing the smaller spots on his underside. Nice sized handle (easy to grip) and smooth adjusting blade. So far it's a quality tool!

I purchased this for lab. She seems to shed endlessly at all times of the year. I noticed that early fall is when she sheds the most. I was tired of finding rat sized hairballs all over my floor. My first brushing was inside.. I decided that wasn't the best idea, so I took her outside and brushed her. #1- the brush worked amazing and she loved the tooth, teeth? on the brush because it gave her a good scratching with every brush stroke. I loved it because I could make it a longer or shorter loop. I liked the longer loop, for some reason I seemed to get more hair. #2- I do not suggest brushing outside when it's windy.. I had more fur on me at the end than we did when I brushed her inside. Overall this is a great brush and very easy to use. My 8 year old son brushes the dog on a daily basis and he loves that it's so easy.

I have several products that help remove loose fur from dogs, but none of them have worked as well as this has. I had several of these items when I owned horses and they worked great for them, but on a long-haired Shepherd, this is almost a necessity. This works so well removing the loose fur without having to struggle with pulling the blade through the fur. I should not have waited so long in purchasing one of these, but now that I have it my long-haired GSD loves being combed. The double-sided comb can also be made into a smaller loop, which comes in handy for specific areas. All in all, if you have a long-haired dog, you need one of these to help control that wild fur!

I had a shedding blade for over 25 years. When we moved, I was crushed to find out it never made it to the new house. They can be used in so many different ways, and I was thrilled to find one from Hertzko, on Amazon. It beats the heck out of wire slicker brushes, and your deshedding job will be faster and easier. I would not recommend it for short haired dogs, like doberman's or boxer's, but anything over an inch, use gently, carefully and go for it!

Great tool. Takes dead hair out easily. I had one of these when I had an American Eskimo (long hair) mix. I would use it 3-4 times a week while sitting outside because it really gets all that dead hair and leaves their coat shiny. I now have two small short hair dogs and it works just as well on them. Their coats are soft and shiny after I use it. Would absolutely recommend this product. I also bought one for a friend with an Alaskan Husky - they love it.

Fabulous, well what can I say I have 4 border collies whose hair is everywhere. They shed constantly. I have tried every brush on the market and they hate them all making brush time very difficult plus even though a lot of hair is removed they simply don't seem to get through the coat as I need it to. This on the other hand works fantastically The collies although not too pleased, will actually sit or lie whilst I de-shed them The garden soon becomes clouds of undercoat and loose hairs which the birds absolutely love and I'm not sue at the end of it all who has more hair on the me or the dogs but they look slimmer, shinier and have a lot less looses hair. My vacuum cleaner is much happier Thank you!

Have used this on my English Springer Spaniel twice now. The first time he was a little wary of it as he was used to brushes and combs in the past, but he soon got used to it. The second time he got quite excited because I think he liked the way it felt. Anyway it has managed to get a lot of loose hair off him and he is enjoying it. It appears to be quite strong and adjustable. Will continue to use it.

Arrived promptly. Made a huge difference to hair shedding from our Border Collie, Ross and X collie, Jack. The tufts they have been leaving round the house has driven us nuts with this change in weather. Easy to use. Effective. I chose this particular one as the handle looked more solid than the others on display. You can get a firm grip on it while using. MUST be used outdoors. The Border Collie loves it....!!!!

This is one of the best deshedding tools I've used. Our Basset hound is forever shedding hair and we've tried most things, so this is the latest in a long line of solutions. I'm not sure that it would be as appropriate for a smaller dog, but works well for us, and doesn't upset the dog either which is a bonus.Seems very robust.Delivered as promised !!

Fantastic bit of kit - would recommend to any dog owner whose dog moults a lot!!Only minor niggle is that there were no instructions on how to open the tool out - wasn't difficult to work out but instructions would definitely have helped!
