Not alot of space for salt or spice
Take x4 AAA batteries. More room for that in pepper mill than actual pepper. Great to grind though. Saves pain in wrist.

Pretty for the table
These units are pretty for the table.They don't hold much salt or pepper, but then the grinder is not strong, so not much dispensed.Not much good for using during cooking, but fine on the table

Not what I expected from Cole & Mason! Very fiddly to open and refill AND very small capacity!! It does grind the pepper or salt but I’m not happy. Brian Fitzsimmons

Not working
This is the second salt grinder I purchased from this company pepper grinder working fine salt grinder. from Dunelm broken I did not return now I have purchased same make salt grinder from Amazon and it won't work with salt only pepper
