I have been using the hose for about two weeks now and the hose itself works great and it is light
The reviews, especially of verified buyers of products are EXTREMELY important in my buying decisions. If I don't know someone personally who has the product and there are no reviews I may hesitate to purchase it.After reviewing MANY reviews I bought this. When I opened the box there were two spots on the hose skin that were frayed .. no biggie. However I then also bought a caddie/bag to store the hose in when not in use. See:https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Expandable-Adjustable-Accessories-Fingertips/dp/B01EBXXW9M/ref=pd_rhf_cr_p_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0ASZ1EPB12TWSWC2B50RThis hose caddie/bag has Velcro strips on the back and front flaps (to close the bag, of course).>>>When you put the hose in the bag the Velcro strips LOCK ONTO the hose skin and when you pull it off it frays, rips the hose skin... and when youput the hose in it grabs at many points and is impossible to avoid the Velcro.Also... if you drag the hose over concrete the concrete grabs on the hose as well... but that doesn't shred the skin of the hose anywhere as much as the Velcro in the hose bag (above).I have been using the hose for about two weeks now and the hose itself works great and it is light, making washing our cars, watering the lawn etc a much easier task than lugging a heavy 100 foot hose from the back yard to the front. (I also had a spigot installed close to the front, by our garage so I only needed a 50 foot hose).I would give it a 4.5 or 4.75 star review if that was available!

I was NOT paid to write this review.
I'm just a regular Amazon user -- nobody paid me to write this or gave me a free sample. The hose was just delivered today, and I took it out for a spin. I've never used one of these expanding hoses before. It arrived neatly-coiled. It seems to be well-made. It fastened onto our water spigot with no leaks. When dry, the hose is very flexible and floppy; I accidentally tied it in a knot, which was easy to remove. The business end is fitted with a brass valve that can be toggled to prevent water from flowing out, allowing the hose to fill with water and expand and stretch out (which, uh, reminds me of something else in a most disturbing way). I didn't measure the hose, but would say it looked like 50'.After turning off the water and leaving the valve open, the hose drained and shrank back down to portable size.All-in-all, it seems like a HUGE win over standard hoses. The only reason I took off a star is that almost immediately, just as soon as I'd attached the hose to the spigot, the woven sheath on the outside of the hose snagged on my sidewalk and began to fray. Hopefully, the sheath is mostly cosmetic and the fact that it frays so easily won't keep the hose from functioning.

best hose ever
I love this hose! Why have I not gotten one sooner? Seriously just great. When I ordered this my husband had his reservations as we are on a well. Our neighbors gave a similar type of hose and theirs just doesn't work right because it requires too much water pressure. This one however IS compatible with well pumped water and does work really well for us. The pics show it empty and expanded with water. The pros to this 50 foot expanding hose.1. It works even if you are on a well.2. My favorite it's light weight. Even my little kids can haul this hose around.3. It is compact. It seriously takes a fraction of the space that my traditional hoses (that are going to the trash)4. It appears to be really well made.5. It stood up to my goats trying to eat it. I thought for sure my it would be a gonner, but just a small pull in the outer material occurred. The cons to this 50 foot expanding hose1. The only thing I see wrong is the price, but if this hose holds up as well as I think it will, it's definitely worth every penny.I will absolutely be recommending this hose to anyone who needs a good hose. Especially my parents who can't be messing with big traditional hoses. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest non biased review.

Great quality hose.
I purchased the expandable 50' hose for my new home. The ends are very durable and strong. The exterior material of the hose is heavy, yet soft. I had to close the end valve and let the water fully expand the house before use. That is what the instruction say. You can open the valve fully for a large stream of water or open it slightly for a more intense stream. I used the intense stream when washing my car. I liked that the stream went about ten feet, making rising my car easier and getting me less wet, lol. I hope to buy another one in the spring. Over all, a great buy.

Finally, a hose that I don't need to wrestle.
The best part about the hose is the ease of storage. It is so easy to fold up that using it and putting it away is no longer a chore and it takes up so little room. The internal diameter seems to be smaller than a regular hose. It seems to be well made and also has a shut off valve at the end. The water coming out didn't just pour out. It sprayed a little like there was some obstruction(likely the shutoff valve). This isn't a problem for me because I always use a nozzle.Overall, I am happy with the purchase and I will be purchasing more of these.

Customer service = 5-stars
Good hose until it broke. Purchased the hose Aug 2016 and it lasted 8 months. One of the main reasons I purchased this hose as due to the warranty it had. I contacted the seller and without hesitation they replaced my hose and stated that if there were any other issues within the year warranty time frame to contact them right away. Customer service gets a 5-star rating; however, overall i believe a 4-star rating is appropriate due to the hose breaking.
