Mid-Century Modern Icons of Design (Thames & Hudson Gift) Paperback – May 17, 2016

Disappointing. Very small books. No photos, just drawings. Experiencing buyer’s remorse. Really expected more.

This is a super cute small book that I placed on floating front-display bookshelves in our MCM designed bedroom. The colors are cute on the cover and the size is ideal as a decorative element.Why only three stars? The pictures in the book are sketches, almost cartoon-like. The information is relevant and really interesting, but it would have been nice to have photograph examples of the individual MCM pieces instead of these basic cartoons. I don’t hate the concept, but it comes across as a less than serious work because of this choice. It’s great for decoration, but I wouldn’t recommend for research or anything in that vein.

Fantastic primer on midcentury design

I bought this for decoration in my mid-century inspired entryway, and it does it's job perfectly. The colors and design on the cover are really awesome!

This is a very small sized book. Not at all what I expected.

Although the book itself is pretty small, the illustrations and design are beautiful.

Size and content of the book, content was not interesting, very formulaic in its design and writing.

Not impressed

Cute little book, but the designs (e.g. iconic furniture etc) are shown as simple hand-drawn illustrations. It would have been better to use photographic images of the designs.

The description is somehow deceiving. There are no real pictures of the furniture and the drawings are one dimensional which is very disappointing.
