An easy way to augment your dust collection system
I bought this part so I could use another adapter and attach a 1-1/2 inch hose to my dust collector. This gives me two hoses on my router table (one for the fence and the other for the router). I also adapted the smaller hose to the blade guard on my SawStop contractor saw. The saw tends to throw a lot of dust over the top of the blade towards the operator and adding the hose really helps. A good purchase.

Just what I needed
This was the simplest converter I could find to attach a shopvac hose to my dust collector. I could probably have rigged up something from PVC or ABS (2" couplers work to attach shopvac hoses to say a miter saw) but I didn't want to do the trial-and-error bit. I rated value for money as 3 because I believe it is over priced and these people are making a killing on this item. Just my opinion--after all I was willing to pay that price.

Perfect adapter to sit between a JET 14" bandsaw and a shop vac.
One end fits 4" fixture on the JET 14" bandsaw and the smaller end receives a shop vac with a 2.25" suction hose.

Still doesn’t fit DeWalt planer or Jet products
Same ID problem as buying pvc Doesn’t fit well with shop vac hose at all.
