Floetrol
I got this for acrylic pour painting and it works great! This amount will last awhile as a little goes a long way. I'd suggest exploring and experimenting with it. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT price point, I will be getting more as my skills improve. It doesn't alter the color as yo don't need much to activate cells in your painting.

Perfect pouring medium
I use this exclusively for my pouring medium with my acrylic paint. It works great, and I highly recommend using it for your artwork.

Great for Pou
Great price for the size! arrived well sealed and packaged. Using with acrylic paint for pour paintings and it works very well as my medium. Normal smell.

Used as pouring medium
This product serves as a pouring medium. It performed admirably, though its consistency was somewhat thick, prompting me to introduce a small amount of water. The resulting mixture ultimately yields a greater volume of the product. It did not change the color of any of my paint and was super easy to use.

Wow -- old dog, new tricks
Very experienced DIY'er here. Been painting and refinishing various things for a lot of years. Can't believe it took me this long to discover this stuff.I'm working on a big built-in cabinet project. All scratch built. Started painting some of it with sprayer because I didn't want brush or roller marks. But what a nuisance that sprayer is. Wastes paint, takes way too long to set up, gotta put up plastic everywhere, takes too much space to do the spraying. And the CLEANUP -- yuck -- takes forever!I've got a lot of painting left to do on these cabinets. About twelve feet wide by nine feet high. Need to paint the cabinet interiors, face frames, shelves, and 20 doors. So I started Googling to see if I could find a way to paint by hand without leaving brush or roller marks. I found mention of Floetrol on a forum somewhere. Dug further. Bought some. Figured I'd try it on a few of the adjustable shelves to see if I could avoid hauling out the sprayer and all that plastic sheeting for the rest of the project.Just tried it. Shelves were already painted with primer and sanded. Added eight oz of Floetrol to a little less than a gallon of Sherwin Williams Emerald Interior Acrylic Latex Paint (semigloss). Definitely need to make sure you mix up the Floetrol itself -- very gloppy. Then when I added to the paint, I mixed the heck out of it with the paint mixer drill attachment. Used Ace best quality small (4" x 3/8" nap) white woven paint roller to spread the paint. I was pretty generous with the amount I applied.Great news: looks like it was sprayed. No trace of a roller mark. Nice, smooth, uniform coverage. No need to do another coat either. I do think the resulting finish is a little less glossy than it would have been without the Floetrol, but definitely worth it.With so much more painting to do on this project, I'm very glad I found Floetrol. Saved from the sprayer!

Helps with streaks
This stuff works! The consistency is a lot like the paint itself, it’s not goopy and it’s very easy to work with!! I originally painted my doors and there were so many streaks in them so I added this for my second and third coat and WOW it actually works! Very effective at hiding the streaks in paint and giving a smooth even layer!

Great product for artists, faux finishes, painting furniture, any project using water based paint
I've used this product for years and wouldn't be without it. I use it with Latex paint when painting faux finishes, like a wood grain or marble look, etc, when I paint furniture or when I paint walls with a paint that is hard to spread. I use it with acrylic paint for art painting and wall murals. It extends the open time (prolongs drying time) and makes your paint flow and apply SO smoothly, it prevents brush and roller marks and allows latex paint to self level like an oil base. It does not change the quality, color or opacity of the paint. You can either apply it directly onto the surface you are painting or you can mix it into the paint. It actually extends paint so it goes further. After using it so many years, I don't follow the mixing directions. I have a good feel for how much to use depending on what I'm working on and what I'm looking for it to do. The more you put into your paint, the slower the paint will dry and longer you'll have to work with it. It is white in color, like Elmer's glue, but it dries clear. As long as the cover is sealed tightly, it will be as good as new even after sitting on the shelf for a long time. I've had opened (and well sealed) bottles sit for several years and it's never gotten thick or lumpy, it never changes. I don't know what the deal is with the reviewers who have problems with it being lumpy, chunky or stringy. I never have. Just be sure to shake well before every use. When it sits for a long time, it turns clear but returns to its normal white color when you shake it up....and shake it well! This is a great product, and I recommend it for anyone doing any project using water based paint.
