Not as big as I thought hopefully these pictures will help
I thought this was going to be larger and a bit heavier, not by much, but just a bit. Nevertheless it seems to have held up well so far and hasn't spun once in the hundreds of times I hit my stamps. I did a "test run" if you will of a new stamp I also just got. (Thus why I got the hammer, so as not to ding it up) and it performed greatly. I was cutting into fairly thin sturdy leather, so it took about four or so hits per stamp. As you can see this was quite a few hits. The head seemed to have held up and doesn't look like / feel like it will be breaking. I am not smashing down with it, but using a firm strike with a finger near the head to back up my strike. The head "spun" a couple of times due to me missing, but otherwise never seemed to deflect. The handle will spin freely if you really rank on it, but it's not epoxy'd on or anything, it's bolt tightened, so to be expected. Overall I'm fairly impressed, but it's just my first day.

Good product
I like to make hand stitched leather bags as a hobby and have tried a number of different types of mallets for punching stitching holes. I find this small nylon mallet to be the best for me so far. It’s put together properly with no loose parts; the wooden handle is polished and smooth to touch; the nylon head is light enough so that my wrist is not tired after punching many leather pieces all at once (I have very small wrists), but at the same time, the nylon head has enough weight so that the stitching chisel goes right through the leather easily. I’m very happy with this product.
