Infinity Transcription Foot Pedal Bundle with Wireless Headset

Not only is this a heavy duty unit that works like a dream, the customer service is BEYOND excellent. I have a MacMini and the unit works well with it, but the software license registration was glitched. It was difficult to download and I never got my registration key. Repeated attempts to register it and use it resulted in me being locked out of my own software. I had to call customer service. Apparently the company is very small and the person who handles things was out that day. Another rep took care of me and went above and beyond to help me resolve my issues even tho I was being a hysterical, frantic bitch because I was losing work because I couldn't get the software to run. She was patient, responded quickly and gave me a new license to use. I can't say enough about this company, Dictation Depot. The owner is committed to good customer service and empowers his employees to make smart customer service decisions. Bravo!Like I said, the unit itself is heavy, made of metal and has a good, heavy duty power cord. It works with a Mac or PC (I have a friend with a PC who ordered one based on my referral and he loves his unit as well).Operation is smooth and I am amazed at how customizable the software and pedal is. This is SO worth the money. Excellent unit, excellent company and excellent customer service. It's truly a professional piece of equipment and will hold up to an office environment with multiple users. I highly recommend it.

The products arrived quickly from Dictation Depot and both the software and the pedal were super-easy to set up on our Windows 7 PC with MS Word. Running the Express Scribe software allows you to load audio files into a queue and the key commands (start, rewind, stop, etc.) work in Word as long as Express Scribe is running in the background. Couldn't be easier.I'd ordered these items for my wife who's setting up shop at home after many years as a professional transcriptionist -- she reports that it's improved her productivity almost instantly. The download code was sent right away so we could install the Express Scribe software and get started. The software has the features she needed -- particularly the options to set rewind duration and to start playback a specified amount of time earlier than the last stopping point. Time points in the dictation are easy to go back to. And the default function keys made it easy and faster to transcribe even before the foot pedal arrived.All in all, she is very happy with these products and with the overall purchase.

This is my third AltoEdge foot pedal. The second pedal was the one that's compatible with the free version of Express Scribe. For reasons which still mystify me, it just quit working. It might be a software issue with Express Scribe (since that can be very glitchy and their software support is rather customer hostile), or perhaps the foot pedal just died. My first Alto Edge foot pedal died a premature death after a very short time and very little use. Though it was past the warrant period, because of the lack of use, the manufacturer replaced it in good faith, which I thought was great customer service, and I really appreciated it.The latest version, which I bought in April (waited to see how it did before writing about it) is compatible with the Pro version of Express Scribe. The pedal seems to be doing fine. (Knock wood.) Just in case, I bought an extended warranty. Haven't needed to use it.As usual, Express Scribe continues to be glitchy, even in the Pro version. That makes the foot pedal a bit temperamental at times, though nothing that's been outrageous. The biggest problem has always been that Express Scribe is slow to work out software conflicts when Apple releases a new OS and I have to wait until I can install the new OS or the foot pedal won't work.

Excellent product. Inexpensive solution for those that do not need all of the Bells and Whistles of the BloatWare applications. Extremely simple to install and use. We needed basic transcription abilities - open the .Wav file, Forward, Reverse & Pause... Simplicity.The USB cable is sufficiently long to place the Foot Pedal at a comfortable location, it is well made, not a cheap thin cable. The Foot Pedal is large enough even for my big dogs, and it is heavy enough to not be pushed around. No issues installing on a Windows 7 64bit workstation.We also use FTR, and while FTR is a fantastic product, FTR is serious over kill for our basic needs.

Amazing product, easy to use, easy to install and lived up to it's expectations. I use it daily for my work and it is extremely easily used and extremely reliable. Came with all the software needed to install and it woks well with my laptop for work as well as files that I need downloaded to transcribe.
