Perfect Easter book for little ones
The media could not be loaded. Easter is coming up, so I decided to grab this hardcover for my 5 year old, and he’s been loving it! He read it the first night we got it and now it’s part of his bedtime routine. He likes the silly idea of the bunny wanting to be something else, and we always end up laughing at some of the animal choices. The story is short and easy for him to follow, and the illustrations are cute without being too busy. The pictures are bright and clear, and we both enjoy pointing out the little details, he especially loves how funny and sweet all the animals look. The bunny, the bear, and the beavers have quickly become some of his favorites. He’s starting to read more on his own, so this beginner book is right at his level, it gives him confidence without being too challenging. I’m glad I picked the hardcover version too, it feels sturdy and will definitely last through all the page flipping he’s been doing. It’s turned into one of those books that he wants to revisit every day, and it’s been a cute way for us to spend time together before bed.

Slightly disappointed
I decided to buy my 15 month old son his own copy in the board book edition so he wouldn't ruin my copy that I've had since 1996. However, when I read it to him I soon learned that the board book edition leaves out a lot of the animals PJ Funny Bunny goes to live with. It's still my favorite children's book, I'm just a little disappointed that they cut some of it out.
