Excellent value; reliable performance
This is a slightly bulky but well-performing 8-port POE + 2-port non-POE gigabit switch.I ordered this switch to replace an existing 4+1 port POE switch in my garage which powers four wired POE security cameras (mounted on the garage soffits). With this switch I’ll be able to more cleanly power my garage Access Point and fifth security camera, both of which are currently powered with injectors and connected with an additional switch in my garage. Before swapping switches, I measured power usage at steady state of my garage “network box” including my previous switch (TP-Link TL-SH1005P) with four security cameras, an additional switch, an access point, and an additional camera – 24.0W total. With the same equipment plugged into this Cudy and the old POE switch unplugged, power usage is 24.6W total – slightly less efficient but I anticipate overall savings thanks to the POE connection rather than using injectors and by removing a switch.Although the switch is bulky, the power supply is inside, making the power cord much cleaner and free of a bulky adapter. The soft portion of the power cord measures 43.5” in length. The stated maximum output from each port is 30W; my cameras draw 3W to 4W each, so I can’t comment on capability for higher-draw devices. There is also a VLAN mode which isolates POE ports from each other – cool feature, but I have no reason to use it (so I didn’t try it out).A few things worth noting:- There is only one LED per port, and no activity flashing- The ports are on the opposite side to the power connector- The mounting holes have cut-outs in two directions, allowing mounting with Ethernet ports facing downwards or sideways- The internal power supply outputs 2.3A @ 52V, indicating absolute maximum power consumption of 119.6W- The rated working temperatures for this switch is -20°C to +50°C; allowing for my cooler temperatures than my previous POE switchOverall, I’m very happy with the features and functionality of this switch, especially given the price.

Good value to power and connect POE cameras
This is a nice buy for handling POE cameras. Most network cameras don't need much bandwidth so the 100Mbps ports are fine. You obviously wouldn't use this to power and connect a WiFi hotspot or anything like that. This device works well so far and I haven't found any issues.
