Excellent speakers.
These are fantastic speakers. The sound is amazing especially with hi res audio or quality vinyl pressings. How Long is now by Liro Rantala is a fantastic recording and these speakers do it justice. Amazing for the price

A good sound and not expensive
Wharfedale have had a good reputation over many years. So I focussed on their range when I was looking to replace my 1972 vintage Goodmans. Having examined wired speakers specifications and compatible with my Denon PMA720AE amp I decided on Diamond 12.2. They have a very clear sound with a good bass and high frequency response. We have a quite a large living room. They are placed at one end three metres apart and on top of bookcase - which contributes to the bass. I was expecting to pay more for this quality. I registered for the free 3-year warranty.

I GAVE THESE AN UNFAIR TEST /and/ INCREDIBLE SENSITIVITY
Amazing speakers at the price and by price, I only mean three hundred quid is budget level for speakers. I am very impressed with the level of detail being reproduced, I'm really chuffed that I'm now hearing the 2kHz-10kHz range, that "brilliance" or "treble" at the top end of the range that for too long has been absent from my old speakers. I bought these for an unfair challenge, to replace my expensive Bose club speakers which were failing at last after 40 years-plus. I'm very relieved because incredibly, I'm happier with these. Even though the expensive Bose which were 40% larger and these 12.2's aren't supposed to be a fair comparison. I congratulate Wharfedale for giving such a lot of speaker for so little dosh which will probably win out over a lot of old speakers and improve the midrange, treble and fidelity of detail. I think the tremendous detail of these 12.2's is their strongest point. Summary. Yes my old Bose were brutes with a big presence, but although that presence is down (in fairness to Wharfedale about that, I ought to have bought and compared Wharfedales double the wattage (120 watts) and double the price of these ones. These 12.2's are a match with my Sony amp but having had the Bose brutes, I have found that I just need to set the volume 10% higher and all is good.

Fantastic sound
Wow just wow. I am no audiophile and always had basic hi fi equipment but my new setup including these Wharfedale 12.2 speakers is fantastic. What a difference to my music be it from my turntable, cd player, Bluetooth or Internet radio. These speakers are high quality, they look and sound great. I nearly saved 50 quid so by going for smaller speakers but so glad I went for these. Even at low volumes I am hearing new sounds that my old system never picked up. I am looking forward to playing all of my music again to appreciate how they should really sound.

Fantastic sounding speakers.
Ignore these speakers at your peril. I needed to replace and upgrade my decades old Celestion Ditton speakers and after much research I decided upon the Wharfedale Diamonds. The soundstage on these speakers is terrific, with great depth and clarity. They handled everything from Little Feat to Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart to Led Zeppelin and Supertramp. In addition, these are heavy speakers with great build quality as you would expect from Wharfedale.
