I thoroughly researched this product as I needed a dairy free probiotic. The photograph of the box says it does not contain dairy. However when I received the product in very small writing on another side it says it does contain dairy. Which is it? The manufacturers are giving contradictory information. So if you are allergic to dairy best avoid this product as it cannot be trusted

I have been taking this product now since Sept. 26th and I love it. I have more engergy and feel great. My co-workers are taking it also (we all work for a Dr.)and we all feel the same. We took it to our Doctor's when we all had our check ups and our Doctor's said it was great and keep taking it. You can have a Probiotic and if it doesn't have all the good things in it to take out the bad and put back in the good in your colon it is not helping you. This Primadophilus Optima has all the good stuff that helps your colon. I truly have not felt this good in over a year. Thank you so much for your products. Mrs. Cheryl Paterson

There has been a rise in health issues for many people, namely gluten intolerance, thyroid problems, IBS and others in the last 2 decades. Why? Glyphosate. (Roundup). Roundup is used on crops like Sugarcane and Wheat just before the harvest to increase the harvest density. Likewise, It appears that spraying it on Sugar Cane makes it more 'sweet' (Subiros,1990; Legendre et al., 2005). Your 'western diet' has small to mild amounts of roundup in the food you eat. Our bodies are being destroyed by this substance, and the FDA has accepted Monsanto's statements it's 'safe' for consumption. According to latest research, Glyphosate disrupts gut bacteria in Animals; Cattle, Poultry and Swine (Shehata et al., 2013; Krüger et al., 2013; Carman et al., 2013), Also in the excellent paper by Samsel, A., & Seneff, S. (2013). Glyphosate, pathways to modern diseases II: Celiac sprue and gluten intolerance. Interdisciplinary Toxicology, 6(4), 159–184. [...] it clearly states this in pp. 2-3: "Salmonella and Clostridium are highly resistant to glyphosate, whereas Enterococcus, Bifidobacteria, and Lactobacillus are especially susceptible. Glyphosate was proposed as a possible factor in the increased risk to Clostridium botulinum infection in cattle in Germany over the past ten to fifteen years (Krüger et al., 2013b). Pigs fed GMO corn and soy developed widespread intestinal inflammation that may have been due in part to glyphosate exposure (Carman et al., 2013)." Sadly, this is what the big companies do not want you to know. We are being poisoned. Not only does Glyphosate affect the microbe in your intestines, it also causes a host of other problems later in life. This probiotic has the strains of bacteria that you need to help you digest wheat without a full blown allergic reaction. While I do not have any kind of CD diagnosis, high amounts of wheat usually make be feel bloated. It's logical that the Glyphosate concentrations in the wheat products are simply killing off the good bacteria in my stomach/colon and causing me to feel this way. Most of my neighbors on my block report similar feelings in the last few years of eating lots of pasta/bread. I'll go over the ones from the papers that you should take notice to so you can understand why many people are having IBS, CD and others: - Lactobacillus, which is normal for homeostasis in your digestive system, is disrupted by 'roundup' (Shehata et al., 2013) - People with Celiac Disease have depleted Lactobacillus (Di Cagno et al., 2011) - Lactobacillus is needed for proper Thyroid Function due to the fact your gut bacteria needs to convert some inorganic forms of Selenium into more bioavailable forms to protect your thyroid from damage (Pessione,2012; Triggiani et al., 2009). Your Thyroid need Selenium. - Lactobacillius aids the breakdown of wheat into less allergenic forms (Gobbetti et al., 2007) - Glyphosate, destroys the 'good' bacteria from your stomach and allows pathogens to take over, which facilitates all kinds of intestinal issue over time (Samsel and Seneff, 2013) - Sugarcane/General Agricultural workers in Central America have extremely high rates of Kidney Failure and others that use heavy amounts of Roundup (Trabanino et al., 2002; Cerdas, 2005; Torres et al., 2010; Peraza et al., 2012; Ramirez-Rubio et al., 2013; Sanoff et al., 2010) - Fish exposed to glyphosate develop digestive problems that are reminiscent of celiac disease (Senapati et al., 2009) - There is strong evidence that your digestive system biome influences/controls levels of anxiety, depression, etc (Carabotti et al., 2015; Saulnier et al., 2013) - Applications of the Lactobacillus strain regulates emotional behavior and GABA receptor behavior via the vagus nerve system (GBA) (Bravo et al., 2011) - Species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium have the capability to biosynthesize Folate (Rossi et al., 2011), so their disruption by glyphosate could contribute to folate deficiency. Sadly, this is a double edged sword. A paleo diet /might/ have trace amounts of Glyphosate due to the cows etc having detectable amounts of it in their urine and tissues (Krüger et al., 2013a). Best thing to do in the meantime is take a moderate to heavy amount of probiotics (3 meals a day, 3 to 4 probiotics, so a ratio of 1:1) and use Organic foods as much as you can. Until the FDA decides to ban roundup on being used on crops we eat, and grass that cows eat, you will /need/ probiotics for your health. At least 2x pills a day depending on your diet. This product has the largest amount of good bacteria needed (from what I can find) for a properly functioning digestive system. Probiotics, such as the ones contained in this product, are responsible for more than just making you less bloated after eating, they are responsible for keeping your food allergies at bay, a functioning thyroid, and overall health. Monsanto will probably never acknowledge this since this would affect their bottom line, which is money.

Product is great, however needs refrigeration. It took one week to arrive so probably isn’t going to work. Can’t return.

After hours of review, I selected this product for my probiotics based on: - highest organism count per capsule - one of the lowest cost per billion of organisms (NOW Foods Probiotic-10, 25 Billion is slightly cheaper with subscribe and save but has only 40% as many organisms) - recommendation by Consumer Lab I take daily probiotics based on the extensive research that backs its effectiveness for gut health, protection from cold and flu, and numerous other conditions. Individual experiences with probiotics is not a reliable measure of its effectiveness.
