This book helped me lose 7.5kg and I couldn't recommend it more to anyone who's looking for a way to lose weight without being hungry! Good luck!

If you want to diet and need to lose it fast, this is the diet for you. You do however need discipline as for the first 2 to 10 days (dependent on how much weight you need to lose) you will be on protein only. The second phase adds vegetables but no fruit or nuts are allowed. I have lost 10 kilos in 6 weeks. Now down to my goal weight of 59 kilos - I'm 5"8.

Lost a few pounds, but not great for vegetarians and/or the lactose intolerant.
As a Francophile, I loved the idea of using an old-school French diet to lose weight. It is a little dated. Here are my pros and cons:Pros:I did lose about 5 pounds in the first couple of weeks- a near miracle for me. I don’t lose weight easily.I loved the French pancake concoction- super easy in my mini waffle maker too. I would eat it for the taste alone!The author’s straightforward no nonsense approach was refreshing.Rules about types of food, but no tracking required.Cons:I am lactose intolerant, and it is hard to find non-dairy substitutes.I am also vegetarian (from birth) and this diet was designed for omnivores. To be fair, the author did update/modify it later, but definitely would be hard if not impossible for vegans to follow faithfully.Also not ideal if you don’t love eggs.Bottom line:Effective although a bit of a commitment, since there are certain rules to follow the rest of your life for maintenance, once (if lucky) you reach your goal weight.Would be better if it were updated again for vegans, vegetarians, and lactose intolerant individuals like myself. Besides digestive issues, my skin was not happy while following this. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, then it might be worth trying though. I found the tone of the writing charming, and I might try it again if I found appropriate substitutes for some of the ingredients/recipes.For now, I will stick with Weight Watchers.
