When I was crafting my DIY DI system it became evident that polishing the input water to its highest state would be necessary to prevent the resin from becoming loaded with unwanted levels of particulate. Thus the need was satisfied by this level of filtration.

I did not know it was a 50 um filter. I wanted a 5 um filter, but I can still use it for now.
