50881 Edge Grip 2-Stage Knife Sharpener, Green

This is an efficient tool. There are numerous brands of knife sharpeners in the market, but, most of them have only single stage grinding using a Carbide or HSS tool. This one offers a second stage of finishing using a ceramic tool. By finishing the ground knife-edge, the knife would stay keen longer. I tried it out on a couple of knives and the results were good.I have taken away one star because the aluminum part that you see in the picture --- just a cosmetic thing to show the brand name and markings --- has come off. However, that does not affect performance.

Works very well. I got all my knives sharp in a jiffy. I've been trying to hone them with those honing rodsrods, just couldn't do it right. This one is a breeze to use. Remember to hold the knife straight and swipe it across smoothly. It's better to use the counter edge while at it. That way the knife will not damage the sharpener. Btw, I did a lot of research on affordable knife sharpeners before zoning into this one.

First time got some great sharpener in a very long time. Can sharpen in no time. Now no longer problem of blunt knives. Cutting chores have become easier.

I googled best knife sharpener and right up at the top of the list , amid the $50-$150 electric, and multi stone professional sharpening systems was this little guy. So I checked it’s Amazon reviews and everyone said it was great so I figured for 12 bucks ? I’ll give it a shot and wow , im super impressed with not only the price but the ease of use and the quality of the edge produced by this simple tool. It has one side for coarse sharpening and another side for finer sharpening and both went beyond my wildest expectations. Compact , affordable, easy to use for even the most amateur user and works better than any other sharpener I’ve ever used . I will recommend this to everyone I know and the children of my village will sing songs of this sharpener long after I am gone . Thanx guys , keep up the good work!

Small, cute, functional, easy to use, doesnt take up too much space for storage. It works well, sharpens the knives very well. Must have in a kitchen

Sharpened my hunting Knife real well.

Good, inexpensive knife sharpener. Sharpened several sizes and shapes all worked well. I have to put right on edge of counter so when pulling tip through it would not hit the counter, but once I figured it out, no problem.

Bought one for !shelf and in law's, only complaint is the little metal bit comes off easily
