Gaza in Crisis: Reflections on the US-Israeli War Against the Palestinians

EVERY American should read this book. Democrat or Republican parties should stand up for what is right rather than just go along with what the Zionist Lobby demands. There is no reason whatsoever for Americans to support Israel's inhumane policy of genocide toward the Palestinian people and not allowing them to have a state of their own, as intended by the partition plan of 1947 which unjustifiably gave Israel over 60% of the land even though they only made up about 33% of the population at the time, which is why it was opposed by the Palestinians and their Arab neighboring states.

I gave this 5 stars, not because "I love it", but because it is a brilliant expose of Israel and its apartheid government of Palestine. Both professors Chomsky and Pappe know of what they speak. The average Canadian in this case has no clue as to what is happening in Palestine and the repercussions that the wars Israel is perpetrating against the people of Gaza and Lebanon has had on innocent civilians. If you want to understand the role that the United States is playing in this scenario, than this is the book to read. Highly recommended.

Important literature, highly recommend. Heartbreaking truth about the colonialism of Zionists to grow "Israel" and their crimes against humanity in Gaza/Palestine.

I think this is a wonderful book and I bought a dozen copies so I can make them easily available to my friends and family members. If EVERY American read this book, our foreign policy would be changed in a New York Second because we would force our Representatives and Senators -- either Democrat or Republican -- to stand up for what is right rather than just go along with what the Zionist Lobby demands. There is no reason whatsoever for Americans to support Israel's inhumane policy of genocide toward the Palestinian people and not allowing them to have a state of their own, as intended by the partition plan of 1947 which unjustifiably gave Israel over 60% of the land even though they only made up about 33% of the population at the time, which is why it was opposed by the Palestinians and their Arab neighboring states from the start. Let's say that the U.S. decided that it would allow for an Israeli state within the State of New York, and then the Israelis forcibly drove Americans off their property and expelled them, usually for no compensation whatsoever? Would Americans stand for that? Absolutely not, and that is why there has been resistance all along to the plan. Now that the Palestinian people would be satisfied with having their own state in the West Bank and Gaza, they are not even allowed that, even though that would be less than the 40-45% of the land they are entitled to!!! I also purchased a copy of Israeli historian Ilan Pappe's book entitled "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine," which is also a must read for people who want to understand the situation.
