It’s nice and convenient. Makes good waffles
We LOVE this little thing! My husband was obsessed with eggo waffles and once he started realizing he didn’t like processed food and wanted to make homemade waffles we got this one. It’s wonderful! Easy to clean, easy to use, cooks waffles perfectly. My husband makes a couple EVERYDAY. It’s also a wonderful size for easy storage but it’s just sits on our counter due to how often it is used but it’s not in the way at all. Would be a good investment to have it even if you have an air bnb with appliances (my sister in law put one in ours) and it gets used frequently. Would definitely recommend if you want homemade waffles.

Value for money, functional and perfect waffles every time
Success! We needed to replace our 40 year old waffle iron after it died. (RIP) We wanted something that would make 2 waffles, inexpensive, small enough to fit in a cabinet and solid enough to last more than a month or two. The stand on Replacement #1 melted from the heat. Replacement #2 was more suited for making pizzelles. This was our third attempt. The waffle maker cooks perfect waffles. On medium setting, the waffles are soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The tray has a spill proof ridge. Only downside is that the plates are not removable. That is not so much of an issue because the waffles don’t stick. The plates don’t require heavy cleaning.

Good but could use some tweaks
This is a sturdy waffle maker that, when used on a lower heat setting and timed accurately, makes great mini Belgian waffles. They will burn quickly otherwise. My only wish is that there were an easier way to open the lid and knobs / something on the side to hold onto when I take out the waffles or am spraying oil on- I have burnt my fingers a few times! Still way better than my last one though.

Exactly What I Wanted - Inexpensive, Functional, Low Profile
I've used this about 25 times now. I've used it on everything--buttermilk waffles, cornbread waffles, grilled cheese sandwiches--you name it. It has worked flawlessly on everything. It's simple, and only has one heat adjustment slider, which seems to respond well when you need to lower or raise the temperature. The shape of the waffles is my favorite part, since square waffles are the best. And it makes two big individual servings with each batch--feels like more of a complete meal than cutting a circular belgian waffle in half. And works great for sandwiches. It's surprisingly easy to clean even though the plates are not removable. I just carefully run it under hot water and let it fully dry overnight before using it again. I do recommend cleaning it very well before first use. And for your first few waffles, leave the heat slider on the lowest setting, and check on the waffles after about 2 minutes. I overcooked my first batch at 4 minutes since it was whole wheat, and they tasted plasticky since I didn't wash it as thoroughly as I needed to. And make sure you liberally use cooking spray. The nonstick surface works great along with cooking spray--no clinging whatsoever, except for the one time I forgot to use spray. The lock/latch that holds the waffle maker closed is not very strong but it does work for batters. It won't work well if you are waffling something like tater tots since it doesn't grip very tight. Be careful not to overfill--I do 1/4 cup of batter per waffle, maybe a little less. This waffle maker is inexpensive and worth every penny, small and easy to store, and has minimal settings--exactly what I wanted. Enjoy!

PERFECTION
Just too cute. The perfect size for me and it works perfectly IF you follow the instructions that come with it. From some of the critiques I read apparently not every one reads or understands the instructions. Before you use the maker the first time clean the grids as instructed, then generously oil them and the groove around the edge. Wipe off excess oil. Then before you make waffles spray the grids with cooking spray. You only have to spray once. I made 6 double waffles and the last ones came out as easily as the first ones Having cooked for many years I would suggest when you finish making a batch of waffles that you only wipe the grids and edges with a paper towel. The waffle maker is now seasoned somewhat like an iron skillet. You do not need to clean it any further. The next time you use the waffle maker again spray once before the first waffle. I used a large from scratch recipe that was fluffy and easy to spread with a spatula over the grids. I used about 1/3 cup batter for each side. The waffle maker was set on medium and I cooked the waffles 5 minutes. They were perfectly browned, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and slipped right out on to a plate using a plastic fork. Now I have homemade waffles in the freezer. They fit easily into a toaster with a bagel size slot. Yes, the waffle maker does get very hot on the outside and steam will come out when you open the lock. The instructions say to use an oven mitt when opening the lock. I found a mitt to large to use easily and used a tea towel instead. I am delighted with this purchase and see lots of brown, crispy, pecan waffles in my future.

Mini Waffle Iron, perfect waffles
Package came intact, nothing was broken, as some had mentioned. Cook time, I set a timer for 5 minutes and had it set in the middle between min and max. This does not come with a timer, so you must watch. The thickness of my waffles were absolutely perfect. No longer will I purchase pre frozen. As directed, I pre cleaned as well as used cooking spray, no issue with waffles sticking. Easy clean up. The picture of the griddle shown was prior to cleaning it, after making 5 waffles. I chose this product also knowing it will not take up space & easy to store so my countertops aren’t cluttered.

Designed to break
So I loved the waffles this thing made for the first 2 uses. But as I was closing for the 3rd and final batch of the morning, the latch just popped off. The batter was in and the waffler was hot so I had to stack pots and pans on top until it kept shut long enough to cook. Took a look after and saw the entire device depends on 1/16" tall by 1/16" diameter plastic peg hinges on the latch. Such a shame. It's the perfect size for a small kitchen and the browning scale really worked. But this waffle maker was designed with planned obsolescence. I'm just glad it broke within the return window.
