Great upgrade for 2018 Mazda 3
Bought this for my daughter's 2018 Mazda 3. The installation was fairly straightforward and simple once you watch a few YouTube videos and familiarize yourself with installation. The hardest part is actually upgrading the Mazda connect software but even that can be done at home in 30-40 minutes once you have the upgrade file and instructions. Overall software and hardware install took about an hour and everything worked right away. Step two, once verified working with USB cable I installed a Motorola wireless android adapter. Extremely happy with how it all turned out and how fast it connects to Android phones. Highly recommend both.

Great product
Great product. I bought this for my 2018 Mazda 3. Trickest part was to remove the existing hub. Getting all the trim and car parts out of the way access the existing hub was a bit discouraging, but there are plenty of Youtube videos to help. Installation was a breeze, and now i have an awesome and up to date entertainment system. FYI, touchscreen function doesnt work, but not a deal breaker as the knob control system is very intuitive.

Worked perfectly
I am not very car handy but I am a techie who wanted Android Auto on my 2019 Mazda CX-5 so I took the challenge to install myself.I looked online and found some installation videos which worked great for me. I opened my dash and armrest and was able to install on first try. It was scary but I now have Android Auto and with someone else's phone also confirmed apple carplay works too.The only issue I had was the cheap USB cables I use normally for charging phone didn't work. I just had to find and try some better USB cables that I had around the house.

Awesome diy upgrade for 2015 Mazda 3
Buying the hub is the easy part! The product worked great for me with no issues. The setup, st no fault to the product, will take some work. You should get the hub, zip ties, and the necessary harness to install and connect to you infotainment display. You will need to update firmware as necessary which will take about an hour. You will then need to remove practically the entire center console if your current hub is located under the climate control console. But it was a fun project and I'm happy with my purchase. Next purchase will be a wireless adapter dongle for Android Auto. Cheers

When it works ..it's great
This was easy enough to install and works great ...that is WHEN it works. It randomly cuts out and sometimes won't work until the car is turned off and restarted. Cuts out like every twenty seconds and takes a few seconds to reconnect

Great Value
Works amazing! I have a 2015 MAZDA3 Hatchback and have had no issues thus far. My biggest complaint is that I noticed the sound quality went down playing music which was worth the trade off of having apple car play. Considering I was going to pay $600+ for a new head unit and I wasn't able to retain factory hardware, this was a gamble worth taking.

Android Auto is back in action
My dad's 202x model of CX-5 came with Android Auto/Carplay, but for whatever reason, it wasn't working (he bought the car used). This was a straight swapout with minimal effort, and Android Auto finally pops up on the screen! The experience on the Mazda is lackluster compared to my Pioneer (Mazda disables the touch screen when in movement, but the spinny knob is more distracting than touch, IMO) but that's a different issue.

Works on 2017 cx-5 touring
It was a bit difficult but stick to youtube and you'll be fine. You'll likely need a flash drive to update the firmware of your head unit but those links are hidden out there, after that probably 2 hours of work and I had carplay, and the charging port is faster. Very worth the money!
