SVS 3000 Micro Sealed Subwoofer with Fully Active Dual 8-inch Drivers (Piano Gloss White)

UPDATE: Liked it. lot at first unboxing / listening, but it's even better after using the SVS app and my amplifier's corresponding settings to set SVS cub's crossover at 75hz and 12db along with my amp's HPF (High Pass Filter) to the same settings. Wow. From great to can't stop listening.... Compared the sound and performance of the SVS Micro to a Sonos mini subwoofer and a WiiM subwoofer in a small 12x12 room, paired with a Sonos Port pumped through an NAD 16-60 amplifier. Surprisingly good for music listening. This subwoofer is noticeably better than either of the others. WiiM was flat sounding. Sonos sub won’t pair with a Sonos port, so had to link to a used Sonos Amp w/o any speakers attached. Wasteful workaround, and sound is very good but not as good as the SVS Micro 3000. Isn’t as punchy or heart pounding as a larger subwoofer? No, but it punches way above its small size, and is very small compared to other subwoofers I’ve used over many years of budget audiophile listening.

As you can see from the picture, I don’t have very much space on that wall. So I took a chance on a very small subwoofer that looks like it could be a small square vase. The base from the subwoofer is very impressive. The subwoofer won’t shake the room, but the sound is deep and all you need to round out a good Home Theater system.

I have this is going down to about 27 HZ for me in a small bedroom with measurements taken at 75 decibels. The SVS app rules with the three-band parametric equalizer to help even out the bass. Then I can do further equalization on my amplifier. I connected this briefly to my my Denon home theater and tested edge of Tomorrow intro sequence with it and it was shaking the floors and the shelves to a similar degree as my SVS sb1000 pro. So this is a very capable small subwoofer for is size. It's important to note though that I don't listen at high levels over 80 decibels so if you're somebody who needs to listen at really high volumes then you need a bigger subwoofer. With it being small it's easy to move it around from location to location. So sometimes I am moving it to a TV in a guest room where we play video games to be able to get the low end for the video games. Using the app makes volume adjustments really easy on the fly. Plus I have two presets to work one for when it's in the small bedroom and one for when it's in the guest room connected to the TV for quick switching between equalization , crossover, and volume profiles. Wish it was a little bit cheaper but so worth it because of the app and the sound quality

Absolutely fantastic seller, went above and beoynd. I will look for them specifically next time I buy electroinics! As for the Micro3000 I am using it in a typical open layout livingroom & kitchen, about 15ft x 30ft, the base is tight and more than any wife would be comfortable with, from a small package that easily blends in to the decor. Very happy with purchase!

I thought this was going to be compatible with the KEF LSX II speakers I had but it’s really not. The bass goes in and out while you’re playing music and it’s plugged directly into the speakers. When the bass actually kicks on it does sound nice, but for what I was hoping for, I was disappointed. To be fair, this sub make work really well with other sneakers, it just doesn’t work well with mine.

Surely, when it comes to play low frequencies, this elegant micro subwoofer is one of the best of its kinds for a relatively small room (mine: 3 x 4 meters). Its two side woofers, would cancel any harsh vibration. The power of SVS 3000 Micro Subwoofer manifests itself dramatically when you listen to a symphonic music. In other examples, from jazz to guitar ... it expands the musical staging with aesthetic effects. In my small room I have only two active bookshelf JBL speakers easily connected to the subwoofer put at the corner (preamp > subwoofer > speakers). The only shortcoming I found is that ON/OFF button is at the back and there is no indicator on front to know whether the sub is on or off. Also if you do not use the SVS application (via your phone) you have to use the buttons at the back of the sub to adjust them if necessary (in any case, I put the crossover at 80, etc. thus there was no need to turn the sub every time).

This sub slams for it's size, you can feel the power. Super if you need a small unit.
