I am pleasantly surprised! Great Torque Wrench for $$$
My larger torque wrench is an expensive, but very well made Snap-on. As much as I love it, I didn't want to spend that much for a smaller 3/8 drive torque wrench. I tried one form Harbor Freight and it was just awful. I took it back...I was hesitant to use Amazon for purchasing a torque wrench for fear I also wouldn't like it. I decided to read the reviews and take my chances on what looks like the best quality for the money. The reviews for this wrench were very favorable, so I decided to take a chance on the Neiko Professional Grade model.I have to say that I am simply thrilled with this purchase! I tend to be pretty picky, especially when it comes to my tools. This is not the cheapest torque wrench by any means. But it certainly is a best buy in my mind. Here is what I like:Nice quality case came with the tool. It can torque both right and left hand directions. The handle adjustment seems very precise, easy to read and it feels like it works as intended. I like the handle. It feels like a very precise click. It clicks loud enough to hear and feel. The tool feels well made.I really don't have any negatives to report. The quality is really fantastic, but not the same as my Snap-On torque wrench. But it really feels good and is less than half the cost (almost a third) of the Snap-On tool. I am really pleased with the quality and I think it represents a very good value.

This is an okay product. For what you are paying it is a good value
I used this for a ring and pinion installation, but also had purchased an older used dial type torque wrench from ebay which costs $150 new. I did this in hopes that I could use this new tool to see how accurate the old one is. Comparing the two I found that the dial type had much better definition and consistency between both directions. I needed to get a measurement between 14 and 19 inch pounds and I found that it was hard to know where I was in that range (for test fit purposes) with this torque wrench. The old one however had good definition and I was able to tell what the actual measurement was not just that I was in spec. In general the workmanship seemed good for the Neiko tool, I had issues where in one direction I would get a different measurement than the other. I think this was most likely an issue with the design of the tool and not a workmanship issue. It seemed like the top of the pointer was too far above the dial which made it hard to read from both directions when laying down at an angle. But really to me this is a decent tool to buy if you cannot afford or do not want to spend the money for a more expensive dial type torque wrench. It will get the job done, but you may not be very sure if you're getting the right measurement if you don't have the best angle. Also if you do a lot of ring and pinion jobs you should spend the money for the more expensive tool because it will make your test fits go better, but if you're only doing one job or one every now and again this tool is good enough.

Untested
Seems well built. Haven’t used it yet so I hesitate to say much about it.

Not junk - Fantastic Workmanship
I was in need of a torque wrench that would go to at least 150 lbs. I looked at Sears locally but they only had gimmicky electronic ones that were very expensive. After looking through Amazon I found the Neiko 1/2" drive 50-250 lbs wrench. I was very nervous in clicking the buy button as I was scared of getting a piece of Chinese junk. When I got the wrench I was VERY happy when I opened it. This thing is a precision piece of equipment!! It is made in Taiwan (I wish they'd tell you where things were made when shopping on-line). The workmanship is great. I've owned a lot of woodworking machines over the years and the stuff coming from Taiwan has gotten better and better. This is a perfect example of pride in workmanship. The wrench works great, adjusts easily, has a very nice locking mechanism to lock the adjustment so it doesn't change while in use. The thing is very long - 24" which I thought was the same as the short one I saw at Sears (didn't measure it) but that must be a 18" wrench because this thing seems very long. The length helped to make the 150lbs torque on my lug nuts easy. It also has a rubber handle that feels great in my hand. All in all this is THE WRENCH. I'm thinking of getting a smaller one for those under 50 lbs of torque applications and I'm looking no where else but at Neiko. I'll have this wrench the rest of my life and am VERY happy with this purchase. It's the best value out of just about anything I've purchased in the past year. Thanks Neiko, well done!!

Fits a need very well.
Lost my last one, got this one quickly and it works very well for light duty fasteners.I'll have a hard time upgrading to something better for my application, especially for the price.

Neiko Pro #03709B is a quality, heavy duty torque wrench - but, torque function is CLOCKWISE ONLY.
Received torque wrench and found the tool to be a quality, robust tool of better quality and easy to see graduations and adjustability, with a firm locking collar. However, having thoroughly read the tool description on Amazon, the Neiko website, and on the instruction sheet included in the tool's case, I found the subject of clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) functionality to be quite vague. I decided to contact Neiko by email to solve the issue. Neiko responded that the tool is for clockwise torque only. This tool would easily be FIVE STARS if you don't require CW and CCW torque function. This tool won't disappoint you if that's the case.I required both CW and CCW function often, for both right-hand and left-hand threads, and to determine approximate unknow fastener torque values.I would suggest Neiko and Amazon make sure to update their descriptions of this tool to reflect the CW torque only function, thus saving customer frustration and tool return costs.
