BBQ Tongs 20 Inch

I have been looking for these for a while. Pretty solid construction, lightweight aluminum. Keeps you digit hairs unsinged while grilling. Due to the varying lever arm lengths (3 hinges) these tongs provide a bigger opening than the amount you move your hand and also amplified gripping force. Very cool and useful. Only downside, the gripping ends are just flat. I may grind a couple of teeth into the ends, but have not yet had the need to do so. It would be easy to do with my bench top grinder.

Perfect length for what I need them for. Sturdy, rivets looked good, nice "feel" to them and you're able to easily grasp and move things around. Only gripe my friend had was that the handle could have better ergonomics. But he does like to complain....I like em. I'd recommend. UPDATE 2018: The person who received this had the following suggestion for the manufacturer: Skip the orange paint. It flakes off eventually. He would have rather had a plain metal tong. We live in a cold climate. IF the handle had some type of coating that would be great to prevent frostbite when grilling during the winter. The tongs are still functioning great.

Awesome strong LONG tongs! A drop of synthetic oil on each hinge point made them effortless to use. I use these on my gas grill, they keep my hands clear of the fire and will grab anything with authority. Great Tongs!! I also got the 25 inch tongs, they are brilliant for cooking on a campfire!

Too flimsy for any meat of size. I didn't like them and returned them. Way overpriced for what you can get for the same money elsewhere. These seem as if they were made in a very small and unsophisticated shop. My suggestion is to get some Ansell insulated gloves. They are neoprene (not like a wetsuit, but like rubber) and double insulated, safe to 400 degrees. I use the Ansell #19-024 and can pick up pork butts, briskets and racks of ribs without a problem. And, it's easy to wash their exterior.

If you do BBQ (or better described as GRILLING) with gas or charcoal BBQ's these are for you. I have seen tongs like these in the hardware store, but...they were steel and heavy and rust. Tool Wizard has made these entirely of aluminium. No rust! Very Light! Big enough handles for bare knuckle or with oven mitts. Excellent, light, very nice!
