Excellent quality- should have bought it sooner!
My old remote control deadbolt finally failed after about 15 years. After having a remote tot unlock the door as you're walking up the sidewalk, we couldn't live without it. My old lock did't have one (and I didn't think it was very important) but the SimpliciKey lock also has an illuminated key pad. My wife uses it more often than her remote, and we program a special code for the maid service. The range of the remotes is 3 or 4 times our old lock, I can check the door from the driveway.Installation was quick and easy. Quality is much higher than my old lock, nice plated die cast covers rather than plastic, feels nice and solid when you rotate the lock.Keypad feels good- easy to read and operate.

Update: Looses programming every couple of days
Update to original review below, 2/11/2014 - It's cold outside with low humidity inside. I can't touch the thing without it flashing it's warning that it yet again dumped it's memory. Wish my old Black and Decker wireless deadbolt was still available, it worked for over 10 years with no problems at all--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I purchased this 4 months ago and finally got around to installing it today. I've used the wireless Black and Decker system for almost 15 years and it was finally getting a bit tired. That lock had not been available for years and all other wireless systems require a monthly subscription so the Simplicikey was the only reasonable choice. The system price was reasonable but the extra remote I purchased with the system was grossly overpriced and took 6+ weeks to receive. Installation was reasonably easy with one exception: the deadbolt is a bit thicker than the norm and I had to use the edge of a wood chisel to make room for the new part. Failure to do so causes the deadbolt to bind and it requires more torque to lock/unlock than the motor can drive. In fact, one has to be careful during every step of installation to make sure that the deadbolt can operate freely. It's a bit of a pain but manageable.Remote range is much greater than my old system and more than adequate. Programming the system to add the additional remote or set up the access code is a little painful as the system requires one to enter an access code followed by a function code followed by data fairly quickly as the keypad times out pretty fast. The two remotes included with the system are pre-programmed, a nice touch. Other nice touches include a function which allows a person to lock the door from the outside without entering a code and very bright indicator lights. One feature my old wireless lock had which I wish was on this product is an inside "deadbolt is locked" lamp which allowed one to easily verify the door was secure. All in all, this is exactly as expected; a wireless deadbolt which does not require monthly subscriptions to allow remote access from smartphones and the like.

Customer service was great, set us a new one no charge
I bought one of these for the front door several years ago (maybe 5 or 6). One of the remotes got wet (forgot to take keys out of pocket at beach)and and it didn't work by the time we got home. Disappointing, but our fault. Customer service was great, set us a new one no charge, not another problem since. Battery life is reasonably long. We recently moved, and bought 2 more for the new house., and are very happy with them.

Difficult to Install
Purchased this lock because one of very few with hidden keypad. Install of deadbolt lock should be easy. This one would be too except for connecting the keypad on the outside lock with the "brain" on the inside lock. There are two connectors. One a ribbon wire connecter that just pushes into the circuit board like on any computer. The other is a single wire with a very very tiny, I guess "snap" ring of some sort that connects at another place on the board. That was the problem. Spent almost 1.5 hours and 3 phone calls to tech support (they were pretty decent) but there was no way I could get that tiny, 1/16" snap ring to connect to the board. Shame that such a poor design on something of seemingly good quality could sabotage the product. Had to return it. Would try a replacement but it will be the same. Was told I was not the first to call with the issue. Really too bad.

Great Product, easy to install
In most cases, if you already have a dead bolt this is a simple replacement
