Digital Thermometer, 1-1/4" LCD, 3-1/8" Probe, White

I like the thermometer very much. Works well. I hope it lasts.

This same design seems to get many "brand names" stenciled onto it --- but each one I've ordered seems to have the same functionality. I keep a couple in package so when friends say "hey that's great" I can give them one. + great price point + I can read it without my classes and from any angle (many LCD screen thermometers are embedded in a way that cuts off the top of the number at some angles ... so 7 and 1 looks the same....) + long battery life + rugged =bit on the big side (doesn't bother me but may be a consideration for someone else - not dishwasher safe, but it is easy to keep the probe clean

It can be a little slow to register but have never had one so not sure if that is typical. Assuming the readings are accurate it is light, compact and easy to use. I use it every day and have had not issues so far.

I purchased this thermometer about 6 weeks ago, checked it immediately, and thought it was working OK. Today I tried to use it again, but it wouldn't turn on, totally dead. Of course, the return window closed a week ago so I can't get a refund. I bought this particular one because I had a very similar one that worked very reliably for at least 15 years. In retrospect, I would have been better off buying a battery for that one. This would get zero stars if that were possible.

This thermometer works, but the battery tends to pop out of place. I keep it in an apron pocket and the battery holder loosens so it doesn't register a temp. Next time I'll go for the more expensive product.

Does what it's supposed to. Good for home use. I wanted it for work but it's too large to fit in my shoulder pocket.
