Best knives I have had. They are very sharp and paper light. They allow for easy grip- handles are non slippery. I wanted to try them out but now I wish that I had bought the block, instead of a few knives.

Actually, these are GREAT knives at a cheap price...extremely sharp, ergonomic and look really COOL! No, they're not Calphalon but...they don't cost a months' groceries for 4! For the average cook, these will more than do the job. Now, if you MUST have EXPENSIVE cutlery to carve your caviar...by all means, BUY that $300.00 restaurant knife to cut your McNuggets since you probably can't boil an egg anyway. Oh, and if the handle comes off from "normal" use, you're doing it wrong, Cletus...yes, they'll work fine on roadkill, but use a saw to cut through the femur bone! Since they're NOT full tang, just use them on meat, vegatables, etc...use a lopper for low hanging branches...you SHOULDNT need pressure to cut through meat, fish or vegetables...just a SHARP blade as these are! They're gorgeous, functional and come with sturdy sheaths...for 3 bucks and change each, what more do you want? Heck, I bought another set for a gift...
