I needed this for a couple projects I was doing. Project A- a wooden container to hold my record collection. I added this cork to the bottom of the container so my records won’t slide around. Works great for this. As a side note- add the cork to an oversized piece of the wood you are using first. This will clean up the edges of the cork as you run it through your saws. Project B- I made some wood coasters for my bar. I put cork on both sides of the coasters. I wanted 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” coasters. I found an old scrap of maple and cut it down to 5”. I cut out two pieces of cork to 5”. I stuck the cork to both sides making sure that one edge had no overlapping cork. I set my table saw to 4 3/4” and cleaned up one edge. Flipped over the work piece and ran it through the saw at 4 1/2”. I cut out the 5 coasters then rounded all the corners on the sander. The adhesive sticks well. Coasters are great and my records don’t slide around.

It is thicker than I anticipated. Its a good tip to let it unroll to relax for a day before cutting.Quality product!

Wanted to add a tack board to my desk. It's serviceable, though a bit thin for thumbtacks.The problem is that because the item is shipped rolled, the built in adhesive isn't strong enough to prevent the edges from curling back up. Additionally, the item arrived with a few cracks in the cork, also due to being rolled.

The media could not be loaded. Engraved really good and the sticker on the back adhered great to 1/8 Baltic birchwood. If I had to criticize anything it would be how it cuts when you have to trim it down. It doesn't cut straight but that can just be cork board all together. I would try it again.

THIS MATERIAL IS NOT 16"!!!!! We built 16" cork boards to place this on for a tight timeline job we had and when it arrived it was only 15.75"! This is a big problem for us and will require using a different material and roll on adhesive and a lot of time and labor this product was suppose to cut down on. What a bunch of bs and waste of time and money!!

Confining other reviews — the cork is rolled. Concerned that it would crack as other have stated so I let is relax for a few days at room temp. I then gently opened it and misted it with a water mister to put some moisture in it. - more rest time and slowly unraveling and placing weights on it. A little more each day. I had zero issues with cracking or breaking but I was patient.I’m sure If I had try to flatten it right away it would have fractured — patience is key in my opinion.

I love to build dollhouse furniture from kits that are 40+ years old. One of the ways they tell you to brace the parts to assure good adhesion with the glue is to pin it into a board. Cork works well, and this cork is so thick that it makes things very easy. this says it is 1/4 inch thick, but I think it is thicker.

There's irony in this kit; they send pins with it, which would make one think that the cork board would be thick enough; but the cork board is so thin that the pins fall right out. It cork board sticks well, but cutting it is not as simple as the photos make it look; the edges are left looking raw and unfinished.
