I purchased these because I work in a jail and I need it for my radio so the inmates cant hear what's going on on the radio. it works as expected and I haven't had any problems so far.

This replaced a defective earpiece. It has worked well.

Great little ear piece but it only comes with one size earbud on the end. Should work for most people but I'd recommend cleaning your ear to remove any wax before using this so that it seals properly. Even provides a little external noise cancellation in the ear that it's being used in. The cord could be a little longer too- it was a stretch to reach from my right ear down to my back left pocket where my radio is held.

I really like these. If I put them in service in at the end of summer, they last all year until the heat picks up which is like 90+ degrees. The heat tends to make the oils come out of the clear portion of the acoustic tube, which clogs the sound from traveling to the ear piece. This is solved by replacing the acoustic tube, or cleaning oils out with a paper towel rolled to a really fine tip.

I just reviewed my purchases for 2016, and I regularly buy these. I do use them for regular patrol. Luckily, they are fairly cheap, otherwise I would be irritated with how often they break. Usually after a month or two, I am having to replace one. The weak link is the speaker, it ends up making everything sound odd. I have pulled the whole unit apart to attempt repairs but it's impossible. Think of these as disposable ear pieces. When new, they are excellent. They would get 4 or 5 stars if longevity was improved. I should also mention, they do have a warranty, but you have to pay for shipping back to Maximal Power, and pay $5 for handling. With the cost of new items being just over $6 on Amazon, it's like they know no one will take them up on their warranty.The rating would also go up if both clips were metal. I have removed the metal clip from the broken units and am now zip tying the cable to it, then clipping it onto my vest. The metal clip is far superior to the weak plastic one. Yes the supplies are there to do it myself, but, I shouldn't have to.

I work in a jail, and cannot hear anything without an earpiece. This is my second 'set' (gave one of my others away), and they have held up great with a TON of use. SO much better than those they issued us. Sound quality is good, bought different ear inserts though, the ones that came with it were a bit large and stiff for my ear.

For all the reviews angry that the sound goes out in a few months, that is an easy fix and that will happen with ALL tube ear peices. Your ear creates moisture in the tube which will distort the sound, you do not need to replace it. Just pop the tube off and blow it out with an air hose. Our department has a gun cleaning room with air lines and that's what I use to blow it out. It will then sound good as new. You will get moisture in the tube several times a year, you dont have to keep buying new tubes each time. Hope this helps. This product has worked great for me, I'm on my 4th year with this product

Absolutely works great

Wish they were eligible for Prime, but hubby says they fit much better than their standard issue ones at work and quality seems great.
