Will it fit 2023 F450 dually ?

If it has a factory tailgate, I’m sure it would work great

will this fit a 2021 ford 250? And does it slowly allow the tail gate to drop without holding it yourself or must you guide it?

Yes it will fit. Make sure you install the small end off the piston to the btm. No once you pop the tailgate latch it lowers smoothly by itself. Keep in mind that it does nothing to assist the raising of the tailgate. It does not matter if you installed it on the right it left side. Still works good. Hope this helped out.

My shock is so stiff I have to force the tailgate open and force it closed. Is there a fix for this?
