Beware of fake strings!
I got these about a year ago and they seemed a little brittle but I needed to replace the old strings, but I did not realize that I had been shipped a fake pack of 3.I've only noticed they were fake when after watching a YouTube video by Phillip McNight on know your gear, pointing out which ones are fake an which are real D'addario strings. So please beware buyers. It's too late for me to return these now but I thought I'd give you guys a warning. If you don't know that you've been shipped a fake pack or not then please give Phil's channel on YouTube a watch.

Watch out for third-party seller fakes!
I've just gone to put on a set of these strings that I bought in the 3-pack, from a third-party seller, back in 2020. After I took them out of the box, I went onto D'Addario's website and entered the code on my Players Circle accoutnt and it came back saying the code had already been used and that the strings are probably counterfeit.I was able to compare them to another set I have that are confirmed as genuine, and using an online video on how to spot fake D'Addario strings I could tell they were a different colour as the fakes are yellower than the pinkish colour of the genuine strings.

Consistently Good Strings
I’m a pro musician, I’ve used D’Addario strings on guitars banjos and mandolins for many years, that’s all I need to say.

Seemed to go a bit dull after 24 hours
Seemed to go a bit dull after 24 hours. Maybe not suited to my Larivee guitar. I do like the colour coded ball ends and the minimal packaging. I'll probably try the 80/20 bronze next time.I've added another star because I was being a bit hasty with my review. I still think the Martins have more woody character to their tone.
