Radar Mount Mirror Mount Action Camera Bracket -Compatible with GoPro Hero Hero3 Hero4

It works. I don't like the feeling of the metal teeth grinding into the neck of my rearview mirror arm on my brand new car, but at least the area it is damaging is hidden from view. The mounting screws do loosen up over the course of each week and I need to tighten them by hand to stabilize the mount. I'm using it with a GoPro mount cell phone holder and the mount is doing a fine job at what I need it to do. Once the phone starts flopping around under my mirror, I know it is time to reach up behind my mirror to locate and tighten the screws. I carry the allen wrench in my car, but it is practically impossible to find and tighten the screws with the wrench. I never plan on removing this mount, so maybe I'll try to secure it permanently with some Loctite blue on the screw heads.

Pros: price; compact installation-does not block view - much.Cons: Poorly engineered GoPro attachment points making it unstable; i.e. GoPro attachment has large circular/flat bottom base with a bolt hole in the center (of the base) that screws into a 12-32 bolt and locking nut protruding from the bottom of the rear view mirror clamping mechanism. The bolt mount point just doesn't appear to be designed for the GoPro base at all. In addition, the GoPro finger screw, that travels through the top of plastic slotted GoPro mount and is secured by a small nut; this only allows 1 or 2 threads for tightening/securing and it feels loose; the 3 white plastic shim washers which are provided for this screw are useless and must be removed to get these 1-2 threads to hold the nut; i.e. screw is not long enough; also, this doesn't allow for quick removal (or re-installation) of the GoPro to prevent theft. The screw should be a longer and/or the nut should be built into the mount point, or a quick release pin should be provided for ease of removal; the base mount "pedestal" should fit and attach to the bolt at the rear view mirror clamping mechanism to aide in the security of attachment.

Worked well. Mounting to rod connecting the rear-view mirror to the windshield required a little work with the Allen wrench to position and tighten. Once that was secure, the other 2 adjustments were easily controlled by knobs and allowed a secure and tight positioning for the camera. And when I didn't need to use the camera, I easily rotated the device up and forward so that it was out of line-of-sight.With this mounted, I was able to easily adjust the rear-view mirror as normal.

This item is AMAZING!! You can adjust it away from your mirror dangles and the grip is SOLID!! This don't move when you bump or brush against it. Love this item!

Wanted to use this for Autocross, unfortunately with the Camaro, it doesn't quite give the angle I need to use this. Shame too, if it was a little longer it would be perfect.

This product is perfect but gopro is not fit for dashcam purpose, overheats very bad and you would have to turn it on and off most of the time.

I use this item in my car so that I can use my GoPro as a dashcam. The fit is nice, it doesn't wiggle around a lot which is great for video quality. You can maneuver the mount to the angel that you want it which is nice. It's a great buy, but I feel the price is steep for the item.
