Glow in The Dark Inlaid Lichtenberg Figures Home Decor

This display art was created by high voltage flowing through a piece of wood. The electricity travels through the path of least resistance creating unique Lichtenberg Figures. Each piece is different and unpredictable. The wood burning process is quite exciting to watch! When electricity is applied to the piece of wood you hear the buzz of the electrons trying to complete the circuit, and while this happens the surface of the wood comes to life with glowing paths creating fractal patterns. The paths follow random motions and are influenced by the nuances in the wood, whether it be the wood grain, imperfections, or density changes. After the Lichtenberg figures are formed, the pieces are cleaned and sanded, and a glow in the dark resin inlay is added to help bring out the lightning like figures. The glow in the dark effect looks best when the piece is exposed to direct sunlight. The photos were taken in a dark room after the pieces were exposed to direct sunlight for 45 mins. I have not tested how long the effect lasts for but I would think it is around an hour or two. These pieces will work great with a blacklight! This piece measures 12" L x 5 1/2" W x 3/4" H. Each piece of high voltage art comes with sawtooth mounting hardware (that you will need to install) so that it can be displayed in the orientation of your choosing.
